They come with a wiring system. There's a red power and black negative. You have to wire to battery. They suggest to hook to a power source that is on only when keys are on to insure they don't stay on. But since each monitor has a power button I just wired right to battery red to positive and black to negitive. You'll need more wire than is provided. Ps I love them. Took me 15 per head rest to install

Q: Can you install this yourself of should you have a mechanic do it?

If you have to ask that question, I would have an installation technician do the work.

Q: Will these power on when I start the car or do you have to press the power button each time the car is started.

If you leave the power on when you turn car off then they will shut off and turn back on again when you start the car. Or you can shut on and off with the power buttons. I recommend doing this. You don't want these tv's to just be on and not being used. More likely to wear out faster.

Yes it can..its like about 90%custom built for most transit unless you remove your factory seat or if you have bucket seats which I doubt you have for your ford...I had bucket seats in my car but I just did minor modification which was less than a hour and I was good to go..The Pyle works just find..hope this helps
