Is it made in the USA? or CHINA?

BEWARE! Just got mine. Ordered as I saw this model in the store and the box stated made in USA and saw these answers. The one I received today is made in CHINA. Very unhappy!

will it fit into a 700 watt microwave?

I have shorter microwave over my stove, yes it fits and I have no problem making popcorn with this item, have for years

does it work well when using oil or butter?

YES, you CANB use oil!~!~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!My PERFECT proportions: ONE tablespoon of CANOLA oil. ONE-THIRD cup of kernels.MELT butter after popping corn in a separate container in the microwave and pour over your corn.Adjust to your microwave...around three minutes. The OIL helps keep on the seasonings you can sprinkle over the popcorn. There are great seasonings from KERNEL SEASONS. The oil keeps all the seasoning/salt from going right on through the popped corn to the bottom of the container because it can adhere to the popcorn.Good luck. This works....I even WROTE it on the box in Scripto marker in very large letters: 1 TBS Canola, 1/3 cup popcorn 3-4 minutes.

Is this product BPA free?

Hello. I called today when I received my PowerPop to see if they would confirm what Michelle said on May 17. The lady did say they were BPA-Free as of the first week of January 2016. Here's an easy way to tell. She told me to read the number on the bottom of the black disk. Mine said 1416. She said that means it was made the 14th week of 2016, and they were BPA free as of the first week. So I'm guessing as long as your disk ends in 16 or higher (for in the future), you're good to go.
