Pimsleur Arabic (Modern Standard) Conversational Course - Level 1 Lessons 1-16 CD: Learn to Speak and Understand Modern Standard Arabic with Pimsleur Language Programs : Pimsleur: desertcart.ae: Books Review: Easy to pick up thanks to the brilliant teaching system. This is my 2nd Pimsleur language program. I really like the way I learn though repetition. Only thing I dislike is that it's tailored towards American men, but if you can overlook that, you'll be speaking Arabic quickly. Review: I'm only at my third lesson right now but, so far, I am very impressed. To become fully fluent in English a few years ago, I used Larousse; unfortunately, this doesn't exist anymore. While Pimsleur's approach is slightly different, it has THE key ingredient in my opinion to master any new language: they ask us to repeat verbally sentences... shorter at first, and then slightly longer. This is essential to be able to utter whole sentences at a time (no weird pauses) rather than pronounce one word at a time like most people who learn a second language. I must also admit that I was a bit suspicious that each lesson seems to contain only about 10 new words. But they are so carefully chosen, that you will feel your proficiency is going through the roof in such a short time. All in all, I highly recommend it!

The pattern sentences are spoken clearly so they're easy to listen to. There's enough time to hear and repeat new words and to form the answers to the questions. I like the pace at which the new words and phrases are repeated as reminders. It helps me remember the new words and phrases thus is very encouraging.

Friend of mine recommended this learning CD I must say it works wonderfully. I always found learning a language very difficult. and Arabic is especially hard but I believe this CD makes it as easy as possible

This is the gold standard for basic Arabic, spoken language training. I have used this personally and with my colleagues doing missions in the Middle East for the past 15 years. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
