Maple Walnut Syrup

I've tried a couple different sugar free syrups in the past few years. I don't use much on my pancakes or waffles, so it usually goes a long way. Previously I tried PYURE organic maple flavored syrup, it was ok. But the sugar substitute is not very good tasting and was glad to finish that up. Next I tried LAKANTO maple flavored syrup. It's also sugar free and has a pretty good and acceptable taste. However, once I tried WALDEN syrup; the search is over. Very good tasting. Makes me feel guilty that it's sugar free, because it tastes like something you put on a dessert. If you don't want your pancakes and waffles to taste like dessert, don't use this. For the price, I got 2 bottles. They arrive bubble wrapped. Just for caution, I made sure my SS order didn't have heavy items that might cause the bottles to break. They both arrived as expected and I'm enjoying breakfast pancakes and waffles again. The hint of walnut is a nice taste.

Walden Farms produces an entire line of lovely syrups, there are various uses to which these yummy syrups can be put, but we enjoy them as pancake and waffle syrups. The flavor of Maple-Walnut is both unique, and absolutely one of the best pancake syrups that we have ever tasted. It is thick and has a strong maple flavor, with a very nice and pronounced walnut flavor. The very best part of all of this is that, unbelievably enough, this syrup is calorie-free! I have no idea of how that feat is accomplished, but this is definitely the best low/no-calorie syrup that I have ever tasted. It is quite rich, has a thick consistency , and has a very strong flavor combination of both maple, as well as walnut flavoring. This tastes great on almost everything, but be sure to order a few extra bottles. You will be surprised to see just how quickly these syrups seem to evaporate into thin air. I highly recommend this, and all of the other luscious, no-calorie, Walden Farms Calorie-Free Syrups.

I like the flavor of this syrup best of all the pancake syrups from Walden Farms. Of course I would love a full maple sugar syrup better - don't be silly! But I am someone who thinks portion-control is a bad word. And I like to save my calories for "real" food. So I buy a lot of Walden Farms products because they have done the best that can be done to replicate the "add-on" stuff we use to make our food more delicious, but that make us pudgy at the same time. I mean salad dressings, because that's where almost all your serious calories get added on with a salad, and syrups and toppings, which take your pancakes and fat free desserts...and your diet...over the edge. So, I can't say I do not taste the ghost of some of the non-typical syrup ingredients. Sometimes at the first touch to my taste-buds, sometimes as an after-taste. But, over all, the Maple Walnut syrup makes eating my pancakes a very, very satisfying experience.

If you like maple and walnuts, give it a try. I bought it to put on vanilla ice cream with added walnuts cuz the Smuckers walnut syrup topping that I love is hard to find and has become very expensive. This syrup certainly was not as good but satisfied my craving. It’s also good on pancakes and French toast.

Obsessed. Really good! On my 3rd bottle. A little pricey for sure, but I can’t find it in stores.

This syrup had a weak watery flavor that was not enjoyable at all. Since all food items can NOT be returned through Amazon, you are taking a risk when you purchase a new food to try. Only use Amazon to buy specific foods that you are already familiar with and shop your local food market instead when experimenting - where they are happy to accept your return if you are unsatisfied with the taste. Bottomline…. I would NOT recommend this sugar-free syrup. I thought the taste was terrible and the expense excessive. There are much better tasting sugar-free syrups at lower cost out there and you can find them at your local food markets, or you can simply make them yourself. Just Google sugar-free syrup recipes and experiment.

This can't fast and unbroken. I have never tried this syrup but it's not too bad for a 0 sugar

Walden Farms does a good job in making these syrups taste like regular pancake syrup. I have tried the Maple Walnut and the Pancake syrup ones, and I prefer the maple walnut. It has good flavor. These syrups are not thick and are a little runny, but that doesn't bother me. I have bought from Walden Farms several times on Amazon and have had no issues with packaging or any defect in product. Will continue to buy.
