In the past I've always used a white gas stove for backpacking and camping but I've been very curious about the practical differences between my classic stove and the newer pressurized bottle stoves. I purchased 2 different thread on stove kits and this is the larger of the two. I like this one better than the micro style stove. It was much more stable and the burner put out a much better distribution of flame. This stove boiled two cups of water in less than half the time of my old stove. I didn't want to run it wide open though because most of the flame was being wasted so my test was only at a medium setting. The stem of the stove needs to be threaded into the burner every time you use it if you want it to be compact and fit inside the pots. When apart the burner parts can shift a small amount requiring you to align them before threading the stem back on. It's not a problem at all but something to consider. Overall I really like this stove. I think it will be my new go to camp stove. Every camper should have one of these. Their light, compact and seem to be well made. The burner part is the only part that could be damaged during daily use and its protected by the pots when it isnt needed. I mostly use the 1 pound propane bottles when i camp which is a larger connection then the burner has on it. Thats easily fixed with a Kovea LPG Adaptor,. It to will fit inside the pots or inside the burners protective case which of course also fits inside the pots. This is a well thought out item and i wish i had of seen one long before now.As for the shipping and packaging i cant say much. I am a bit of a survival nut and was looking for a small and lightweight stove and pots to use for both camping and emergency preparedness. What I liked most about this set was both the small size, and the fact that the stove and fuel canister can fit inside the pots. I do a lot of dual sport motorcycle riding and this works perfectly for that application. I do try to use natural fuel and usually, cook with an open fire or with my Solo stove if fuel is available. But sometimes you find yourself in a wet or barren area where it is just too much of a hassle to cook that way. I plan on using this stove for those situations. Starts up very easy and burns hot. Can boil a full pot of water within a couple minutes. I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. My son and I are both involved in Boy Scouts and will be doing lots of backpacking and camping. I bought this camping stove and pot to use on the trail. I love that it is very compact and compresses down to save lots of room in my pack. The included stove and wooden spoon is a huge bonus. The stove uses propane/butane mix gas for the fuel to heat things up.The pots are made of aluminum and feel very sturdy. When packed together everything thing fits nicely. There is even enough room to add a can of fuel for your adventure. This whole set is worth every penny and will be great to have on all my outings.
