Tomo, Vol. 1: I Was an Eighth-Grade Ninja

My tween girls have loved this series. It’s one of those that they read the whole book at once, then ask to read the next.

My granddaughter is having a hard time liking to read. This series really helped her. She reads them over again.

I had some doubts going in, but good solid work, and perfect for kids (or adults if you like anime/manga). I still like the preacher, that one scene with him just holding the Bible (way better than I am making it sound lol).

I bought this book for my 10 yr old daughter who is a black belt in TKD and is working toward one in TSD. This was her first comic book and loved it! She can't wait for the next one to arrive in the mail. She thought it was a great story because it was funny, had action and taught a lesson in friendship. She recommends it!

It was a much shorter story than I thought, but still a fun start for what could be a fun story. The art was fun too.

It's impossible to read this book on the Kindle, the type is way too small, even for 10-year old eyes. The sample did not let us see a page of text, and I think it should have.

The cover was not in good condition. I bought the book as a gift, so I was bummed out about that.

I should have read the reviews better. This is TOO SMALL to read on a Kindle and does NOT resize with the text resizer. DON'T download manga for your Kindle (maybe the bigger DX Kindle is okay?).*** This is not a negative review about the content of the comic. It might be great, but books should not be offered for Kindle if it is not readable. Please break Manga pages up by boxes or something to make the text large enough to see - or include subtitles. Waste of money.

My 9 year old daughter is loving this series and would rather read this than normal books at the moment, so why not.

It was what I expected from the description. I have a hard time getting my middle school daughter to read - this was perfect!
