Pretty bad, it works, that's about the best thing I can say.
There's a bunch of these kind of remotes on Amazon, they all claim to be "durable" and work great with the Z5500 speaker set up from Logitech. I mean, I guess it's durable, as long as you never ever, ever, EVER drop it from more than .23 inches on to a soft surface. Heaven forbid it falls from the unbelievable height of a coffee table on to a rug covered tile floor.I purchased 2 of these, within 1 month the first one had literally exploded when it fell off of a couch arm on to the UN-RUGGED tile floor (OMGOSH!!!). Both halves went flying, the battery cover broke in to 3 pieces and got lost for 2 months until one of my cats managed to dig it out from under the couch (the very same one it fell off of) and proudly batted it around to make sure I knew it was there. The second remote displayed the same amazing feature as the first, great awesomely sticky buttons. Press the mute button and the Z5500 will muteunmutemuteunmutemuteunmutemuteunmutemuteunmutemuteunmutemuteunmute faster than you can sneeze/fart/burp at the same time (sfnarp? is that a word? I'm gonna make it a word, sfnarp. There, there's your new word for the year, all hail 2020!!). Upon further investigation, this is caused by the artisan sticker label on the top. (By artisan I mean hand cut by grandma who's poor arthritic hands can barely hold a hamburger) A few minutes with a knife solved said problem, but I mean, come on.This one lasted several months longer, but I also glued a bunch of foam packing peanuts to it until it looked like the worlds saddest snowflake. I had high hopes that I had solved the problem of the least durable remote control ever, but alas, it was not to be. The batteries died (as they do, this remote doesn't use batteries any faster than another), upon replacement though, CRACK. There goes the battery cover AND compartment. Split right down the middle and one of the springs jumped out screaming FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. (Blue face paint and thousands of crazy Scottish warriors optional, well, maybe not, I mean isn't that like a very deeply ingrained thing in our American psyche?)tl:dr (that's "too long, didn't read" for us oldies) - It works and changes the volume, most of the time, but it's flimsier than the average politician's truthfulness.

Works perfect for the Logitech Z5500!
First note - it came with the bottom shell cracked and fell apart in a few pieces, no problem for me.. a quick 5 minutes and some two part epoxy and it was fixed after an hour to cure. The plastic is most definitely not high quality. However, it perfectly controls my Logitech Z5500! I have had this amazing sound system for over 12 years and have zero complaints with it, minus the original remote eventually built up a lot of corrosion and the main control processor ended up going out. I ordered this replacement up and after the fix as noted above, it now sits on my desk and works on every function of the remote control.

Works with my Z-5500!
I lost my remote in a move and was so thankful to find this replacement! The volume up/down buttons are a little quirky occasionally but worth it to have a compatible remote. The extra fuse holder was a nice bonus as I have had to replace the original in the past so now I have a free spare!

Came sorta broken...
Buyers beware: my remote came to me in what looked like good shape, but the little Infrared Emitter that's supposed to send the signal from the remote to the receiver - that was not where it was supposed to be. It was out of place, IN the remote case it'self, pointing inside the remote, not outside where the receiver could pick it up.I opened the remote with a small screwdriver, I think I broke off some little pieces of plastic from somewhere (didn't seem important at any rate), places the IR Emitter where it should be, and boom, it works. The device is made of what feels like cheap plastic, and it's very light. Feels very flimsy, and the buttons don't offer much resistance (but then again I mostly pressed it when I didn't know the emitter wasn't even properly placed!).Long story, it now thankfully works (I have a Logitech Z5500 set), but be advised that it isn't a very well crafted piece of equipment.
