MG GolfMG800S Laser Rangefinder

I have used MG products for some time and this rangefinder is as accurate and easier to use than my friends expensive Bushnell and other. What a value! It works great at 1/4 the price.

This is my second MG800S. First one would not give reliable readings. Sent it back within the return time frame. Thinking this was anomaly I purchased a second one. Same results. Sent it back, told them I did not want my money back or another unit I just wanted it to work. They kept it for a month, returned it, said there is nothing wrong with it.I have tried it now for three rounds of gold, same results.I am through with MG.s range finders and will go elsewhere.KJP

Not happy with the operation in general

As good as the expensive ones.

The price was great however it was very difficult to operate in different modes. Sometimes it would jolt and sometimes jolt with total wrong reading. Sometimes no jolt. Magnet is very weak Compared to bushnell.

THis is a great item for a fraction of the cost of others. The case is nice and the magnet is strong and attaches right to the golf cart.

I have a hard time getting the unit to lock on to a target and get a proper reading. More often than not, it picks up targets behind the actual target. I have no confidence in the readings this unit generates and use alternative option, like borrowing someone else’s (brand), using my phones gps (Golfshot GPS) or going analog with yardages marked on the course itself.I had a different MG Golf unit (white) and it worked fine, but lost it. I would not buy this one again.
