pretty well balanced
i had to rebuy these because my cat at the cord.... other wise they have lasted about 3 years and probabaly would have lasted longer,.., and i expect the same out of the new ones which appear to be the same.comes with lots of little extra buds, and ear hooks. came with a little zipper pouch thing, the last pair was just a draw string bag.the sound is the same as the previous pair, pretty well balanced, not base heavy, but not absent in bass either. the same goes for the highs. seams to be mid range focused, but dosnt leave out the subtle details of the highs and lows.

Take care of them, and they'll take care of you
I've held off my review of these for quite some time (over a year!) because I wanted to review the durability as well (and Sound quality of course!).These sound really nice. Punchy bass, but not too exaggerated. Full mids, and pretty good highs. Now the durability that seems to be the major factor among reviews here....*Short, sweet, and to the point review - Over a year and mine still work perfectly.**Longer review - Yep mine still work! They've been through my last year of college and came back working. I do agree with other reviewers that the materials of these IEM's do feel on the cheap side. The cord is springy and no matter how hard I tried to make it nice and straight, throw it in your pocket for 5 minutes and it's a crooked mess again! The connections where the cord meets the ear bud don't seem too bad to me however my confidence in them being able to get yanked out of a backpack constantly and still be expected to work isn't high. That said, I'm one to take care of my stuff! These come with a very nice and compact hard case which I use ALL THE TIME. I'll take a wild guess that this is the reason mine still work, I've never liked throwing loose IEM's in my backpack and then trying to pull them out in a jumbled mess at the library. Let the case take the beating instead!Oh and lastly, the metal parts actually feel quality to me and they're in the spots where they need to be: the 3.5mm plug, and the Y split in the cord to the individual ear buds.I mainly bought these for gym use, or really any physical activity use other than walking. High marks here as anyone would expect being the wrap around style these are. Plus they can take all the sweat you can throw at them, just let them dry (like any other headphone) before you put them away. Believe me I've thrown plenty of sweat at them! I'm from Minnesota, so anytime it gets "warm", I sweat like a dog!Overall I'd say these are a good buy. Of course you're not getting indestructible atomic blast proof IEM's for $50(ish), but if you don't abuse them they'll last for a few years.

Great sound for the price
I had and listened to many earphones under $50 and soundmagic E30 is best sounding along them. Some cheep ones are more bassy and some lacks the details. With this I can here all the spectrum. please check anythingbutipod for very detailed review, now E10 and E30 are editor's choice. E10 is bit bassy and E30 is more natural sounding. I felt E10 is nice looking with metal body and more comfortable. That doesn't mean E30 is bad. I preferred E30 as they are more natural sounding. I am sure they are best bang for bucks choice for now.Sound is Excellent with good bass, detailed and very nice mid range and nice treble. Sounds perfect with my sansa clip+.Excellent ComfortIsolation good, but not excellent.Build quality and cable looks pretty good. The package is nothing exciting but can not expect more for the price.

Good sound, good fit, good quality.
Just received these IEM's based on reviews from Anything But Ipod that concluded they are a good value. After attaching the shaped ear forms to the cables and changing the silicone tips to medium, I found a good fit that maintained their position through a 7-mile run.Pros:Clear soundNice variety of silicone tips, including a double tip that is longer.Ear forms eliminate microphonics (noise from the cables moving)Stay in ear properly during activity despite being shallowComfortableCables are a good balance of stiffness and flexibilityGold plated plugCons:Wish for a little bit more bass, maybe they will "break in"A bit complicated orienting/installing them over the ears using the ear formsLess isolation (I'm noticing wind noise not present with my previous ones)Plug is a little longOnly the largest tips seal my ears for good bass, I think I have average ears for a guy.No owner's manual in the packaging

Great IEM's Short Life
I was looking on a Head-Fi forum doing research about IEM's under $50 and these were on a list so I thought I'll take a look at them. I had never heard of the company before, but something drew me to them. So I ordered them and I am (somewhat) glad that I did. The SoundMAGIC E30 IEM's were absolutely awesome headphones for under $40. Although aesthetically they are kind of dull and generic IMO. Aside from looks they sound great. They were extrememly comfortable with or without the included ear hooks and had pretty good noise isolation. The drawstring travel pouch to store them in was really nice as well. All in all the best IEM's I have ever used. Unfortunately though they don't last very long. I bought mine back in Feb. of this year (2012) and the left side just went out a week ago. I only had them for about 5 months and they died. I noticed other reviews on Amazon a couple of months after I had bought them stating the same issue. As far as the 1 year warranty goes SoundMAGIC requires you contact the retailer where you purchased them from which in my case would be Amazon. Amazon told me that I would have to ship them back to them (they sent me an email with a printable return label and then I would have to drop it off at a UPS drop off location) and that they would refund me and then if I wanted to I could repurchase them. I am hesitant to repurchase them seeing as they will probably break again. If the company (SoundMAGIC) can build them better and make them last longer maybe I will repurchase them. Until then I am still searching for a pair of similarly priced IEM's that are on either on par with or better than the SoundMAGIC E30's.
