SJCAM M20 Waterproof Mini Action Camera WiFi Photo/Video Camcorder (Includes 2 Batteries + 1 Charge Cradle)

I have to review considering I was obsessed with reviews of all cameras when I was in search of a good one for myself. I have never used a go pro, but I tell people that this is basically a knock off go pro. I have used it for my underwater snorkeling adventures. It works for what I need and I’ve captured some very nice clear videos. I used it once two years ago when it was new . I remember I dove down deep under water and I had the camera still. I wouldn’t say I went 30 feet. I just did a little dive from where I was floating/swimming. Well, water got inside the case. My ain’t told me immediately I needed to dry it all out because that salt water would ruin the camera. So I didn’t use it the rest of the trip and I let it dry. I didn’t try to break it back out until I got home to add the photos to my computer. Everything was fine with the electronics.Fast forward two years. I go on my next trip. I break out the camera again. If the salt water had damaged, the camera surely wouldn’t have worked. But no, everything still worked great and I got some great shots in Aruba underwater.Just don’t go far beneath the surface. If you do, be careful, and make sure you get the camera out of water as soon as you notice water inside the case.As far as photos above water, my phone takes better pics honestly. I have an iPhone 8. But it’s nice to use up the camera’s battery & storage instead of my phone.I would recommend this camera to beginners who want a cheap camera option to use for outdoorsy/underwater purposes. It’s a great option and still gives good enough quality videos to look like I recorded straight off my iPhone

Product is original SJCAM - functions well as i have other SJCAMsI purchased the kit with 2 batteries (per description) and cradle charger -What i receive was short of one battery and cradle charger and cord.

SJCAM M20 is a great camera and has met my expectations. The only issues I have had is the wireless download is super slow. I wish it was Bluetooth instead of wireless. The menu modes are little clunky when switching between each, as it takes getting used too.

Camera arrived DOA - the connector in the camera for the battery was not attached (looked like a cold solder)The parts look and feel like good quality - that said, I wasn't impressed that such an important part was broken.

Amazing technology.

This is a great camera. It's my first ever action cam and I'm using is to record my outings on my motorcycle and t works great. One thing to note about Sjcam, the Sjcam accessories will not clip into the GoPro mounts and vise versa. I wanted a particular accessory arm that Sjcam didn't have so I ended up buying GoPro and that's when I noticed that the locking mounts are incompatible.

Took it on a 2-week paddling trip, it was wet pretty much constantly but worked great. Note that if you have it in the plastic waterproof casing, though, it won't pick up any audio. The mic only works with the camera is mounted on its own/without the waterproof case. Comes with a decent set of accessories, but there are LOTS of add-on accessory packs that give you about a dozen more types of mounts for around $30. Only complaint is that I still haven't been able to get the time-lapse feature to work.

I was using the SJCAM 4000 mounted to my electric scooter and drone and was experiencing a lot of shaky videos. Decided to try the SJCAM M20 as it was light weight, had a gyro sensor built in and anti fisheye. So far I am extremely impressed. There is still a bit of shake in the video but not very noticeable. The picture quality is excellent. Haven't tried it on my JJRC H26D drone yet do to snow on the ground but looking forward to the result. Two issues I came across while using the camera. Didn't realize the manufacturers default setting for "loop recording" is set to three minutes so all my videos were only three minutes long. I read online that I needed to turn loop recording "off" to stop this from happening. Secondly initially I thought my Moto E cell phone was not connecting with the camera because an error message kept showing "connected, no internet" instead of simply "connected" like my Dell Vue 8 tablet was showing. It wasn't until I went online and did some research and found out that you can still open the android phone app and it will work even with this error message. Will update my review with the drone video another time.

We are not avid video takers nor editors. We used it only on occassion, 2-3 vacations? And the occassional waterpark or hike. The case all of a sudden let water in on our last vacation rendering the camera non-functional.

Great little action camera for the price. I like how many accessories come with it, as well as how inexpensive extra accessories for it are (compared to GoPro - which are basically the exact same). I purchased a ton of extra mounts, remotes, selfie sticks, etc from GearBest. This M20 has all you need (except the SD card) to get out and start filming! Very happy with my purchase. The M20 is easy to setup and use.
