A Must Buy if you have kids
I took a chance and bought this manual toothbrush that connects to an app HUM in order to make sure my kids were brushing their teeth correctly. They have an automatic toothbrush, floss, and ACT mouthwash to use daily, and they would have no cavities, but then a bunch the next dentist visit. I have given incentives for no cavities, and that wirjed for a hot second. I have played the toothbrushing police, and it is just drama with my sons. Lol. Now that I got this toothbrush and the APP, and it has been extremely pleasant. The APP is like a video game where they have to put the camera on them brushing their teeth, and it shows where to brush to get rid of these "monsters" that are on their teeth. They brush in the back, behind, and on top, from left to right, and even their tongue. The APP tells them when to spit, and it shows then how many monsters they killed, get points, and earn gems to open up accessories, treasures, and new lands. My seven and ten year old love it. I can go on the APP as a parent, see when and what time they brush, and how well they do it percentage wide. The only thing is if you have a kiddo like my youngest who can't be still, the APP may not be able to read or connect to his brush and movements. I had to make my kid try to keep from jumping or moving out of the camera view, but he is a jumping bean like his mama. 🤦♀️ After his drama because he cried about getting a low score, I told him to brush his teeth again. There is nothing wrong with brushing more than once, and so he did. He got a higher score and double brushed. Win- win for him and me. Lol. Now, if they had something like this for flossing, I would buy it. Oh, one more thing- my youngest doesn't have his front teeth, so he wasn't getting his points for killing the monsters. I told him to brush his gums, and it gave him points. I figure, it can't hurt him and won't be crying about how unfair it is that he can't get points or gems for that. Lol. If your kid likes games and hates brushing his teeth, he will love this product. No matter how many times I told my boys to brush thoroughly, and it shouldn't take them less than a minute to brush their teeth, they wouldn't listen. This APP and brush will have them brushing all their teeth and tounge in about 2 minutes. They don't even realize the time because they are so focused on killing the monsters, nor do they realize how many times they brush one section of their teeth. This APP and brush combo will have them thoroughly brushing and not have to hear mom nagging them to do exactly that. You won't regret this purchase. I know I don't regret it. I put away their electric toothbrush away. Maybe once their brushing becomes a habit and they outgrow this toothbrush, then I will give them back the automatic toothbrush.

Making brushing fun!
We've had the issues of inconsistent brushing, skipping brushing all together, and faking brushing their teeth and lying about it.Decided to take a step towards the fun route instead of being more strict, and it's definitely working. My child is now eager to brush, to earn gems, and to get their stars! With the coverage % tracker, it's very easy to see where my child has missed some spots, and where we need to focus on more. The app is pretty easy to navigate. The brush itself is perfect size for small hands. And honestly, for something that doesn't require batteries and includes the brush, it's valued decently.

Such a helpful tool
I don’t think I'm exaggerating when I say this was a game changer for our family. Tooth brushing was a HUGE struggle in our house for years. We tried sticker reward charts, Sonicare for kids….bribes….threats…..nothing worked!!! Twice a day our tooth brushing ended in tears….for kiddo and parents. And then this came up in my feed. For the price I figured it was worth a try. Somehow, with this something clicked. I don’t know if it was the “video game” feel, the competition, the distraction that makes brushing entertaining, the points, or what. BUT something worked. Brushing is no longer a chore and I am forever grateful.I also love that the app actually coaches proper brushing technique (something I feel the Sonicare kids app lacks).Anyways, it might not work for everyone, but for us it was the holy grail.

Awesome idea!
My 4 year old had a HUGE problem brushing his teeth. He would refuse to do it and I would have to wrestle him to brush his teeth myself every time. I tried this and this helped so much! He felt like he was preforming in a video game when we used this app and brush. Now he brushes his teeth by himself and doesn’t need the app. He brushes his teeth while just looking in the bathroom mirror now, and he’s proud to do it himself too. This is a great idea and product for children who put up a fight to brush their teeth. It helped us so much and now our morning and bedtime routines are so much easier and less of a hassle.

Brushing teeth is fun!
Bought this for my 6 year old who usually fights brushing teeth. It has been a delight and has made brushing teeth fun and exciting!Out of the box, you get a stand for your device and a colgate kids toothbrush with a cover that has dots all over the handle.Easy to put together. Easy to find and download the app and get started. Less than 10 minutes to put it all together and start brushing. My son is 6 so he has no problem holding the toothbrush. It is bulky. You do have to be sure the handle of the brush is in the screen to get the activity matched up. I love how it teaches to brush all sides of their teeth. My only complaint is I wish it didn't move along so quickly. It seems just as they move to one side its over quickly and they must adjust for the next spot. But I'm sure after using a bunch it will be easier. I hope.I'm not sure why other reviews mention Bluetooth or connectivity. This is an augmented reality thing...no Bluetooth is needed. No chargers as it is a manual toothbrush. I think it is a plus that you can replace the toothbrush with one they sell at the store. Makes it really accessible. No expensive parts to replace. What I care most about this is that it has made brushing teeth an exciting thing. Is it gimmicky? Sure just a little. But it is also motivating. My son enjoys beating the sugar bugs and collecting the gems at the end or getting a new "mask" to wear.Definitely a keeper!!
