Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Stain Charcoal 5L

A great product and excellent in respect to creating a non slip surface when the decking is wet. Good colour when applied and great value too. Very well packaged for transportation/delivery.

It looks great once applied but it took me at least 4 coats as the wood completely absorbed the first two coats with little colour change. This was old wood though which had done been maintained, but it is now completely rejuvenated. I will make sure to keep on top of this every year so it will only need 1 or 2 coats. Make sure to stir frequently

Excellent results. Repainted older decking after a thorough clean. Went on very easily and looks fab, fingers crossed it will last a few years.

So I've stained my deck with a few different products before none have been long lasting, have chipped, worn off or not provided adequate protection from water. I've been pleasantly surprised with this stain and whilst I cannot yet comment on it's longevity, the water protection is second to none. The water beads on top rather than soaking in to the wood like it has done previously. It needed 2 coats but covered well and a little goes a long way. Will definitely be buying this when it needs redoing in the future

First of all after viewing customers review I bought this particular product for my decking, I bought one 5L tin and applied, I was so happy and smooth paints, first tin was finishied leaving a small area, because of my decking is very big also I wanted to paint the second cote I bought the same tin on a different day and when I was applying I realised the colour is totally different, I used a little stick and mixed inside and applied, still the same, also the colour on the tin also shows kind of dark blue buth when applied it is different from other painting which I done using previous tin, it is the same product I repeated, I am so upset to say I am disappointed, I normally don't give bad fedback at all, unfortunately I now have to say how we can trust this product without being used, grateful if you get back to me and say why this two different colours in two tins for the same product? I love the first tin and paint was smooth, but the second one is like just water and not smooth and no colours and kind of rough paint?

Currently in the process on painting my decking with this which is a large area. I ordered two 5L tins but have run out and am waiting on more arriving. Its a great colour but picking up on what another person said here reviewing this. I have had the same problem in that one tin the paint was a darker green colour and thick and the second tin was more like a very light blue colour and very watery in consistency although it did have the colour on the tin as Willow. I have noticed too that as it is drying out the colour is lighter in some places and darker in others it was stirred well before use as the previous can. Where it seems to have dried in `blueish` something will be going over the top so won't be noticeable. It's ok though for tidying up a very tired looking decking though.

Used this before. Got it £10 cheaper on Amazon than at b& q. Cannot fault the quality
