I wanted a reminder to get up from my workdesk and move around that wouldn't be audible in case I was on a call. An hourglass seemed perfect, I could just glance over at it once in a while and it would serve as a reminder. I bought this with the white sand and it looks really good on my bookcase, it's got a nice classic look to it, it's well-made, and it indeed does measure just about exactly an hour.

Great novelty decoration for the living room.

It takes well over an hour for the glass to empty so the timing is not accurate but it is cute and words for the decor item as needed.

Timed it. It’s pretty accurate. These are perfect to end a massage or quiet time without being too loud.
