UPDATE: 2/17/24 4 years later, still going strong. I ordered more and matched them up in the dining light where I needed 3 bulbs. Ordering 2 more now for a new lamp. Dimmable too.UPDATE 2/18/20: The one I purchased is still working. I ordered 2 more to use with the extra one I had. Not much quality control as one is very silver, one is very light, almost gray, and the other is in between. I wanted to use them in a dining light that required 3. They look aweful together. I will put other bulbs in them and use these for backups for the floor lamp I orginally purchased it for. They also shipped with no padding in the big box, so who knows how long they'll last after being knocked around in shipping just in a loose light sleeve. They do what they are meant to do though.I used this in a MCM 3 light floor lamp. Regular bulbs were just too harsh in the one lamp that pointed down to read by. I ordered these and installed in the one and it corrected the issue. I ordered the 60W, but the silver end, it does seem to make it a little less light. Maybe I would have ordered a 75W, but this works just fine. Also it dims without a hum too! No more glare in the eyes or feeling like I'm in a police interrogation room! HA I'll update if it goes out prematurely.

If you need this type of lamp it is perfect. I have an outside camera above a wall fixture and this lamp keeps the light away from it. Note it is not a LED lamp. The fixture is on a motion detection switch so does not stay on very long.

This light bulb is perfect for over my kitchen table where I don’t want to be blinded by glare. It reflects the light up into the closed-top shade which then reflects softly down on the table.

I used to be able to. Buy these at Lowe’s or Home Depot and have not found them there, lately. They came quickly and none broken.

I couldn't get my nursery quite as dark as I wanted until I got these. These bulbs are awesome in a lamp in the nursery to give a calming feel for bedtime instead of a nightlight. The tops (the chrome ) do get very hot.

The half chrome/silvered bulbs are great for our clear glass pendant lights. These provide an excellent alternative to the trendy Edison style bulbs Also, I was only able to find them locally once and now only order them here on Amazon. They're attractive, affordable, and easy to order. Will purchase again!

I carry one of these in my bag when restaurants have an overhead glaring bare light bulb. I'm not in an interrogation room!!!! All restaurants should use them. I've forgotten a couple, so I buy more from Amazon. Great for chandeliers or any light that is high.

This light bulb worked for approximately 6 hours.
