Simple worm farm
I got a more expensive worm farm first and the lid had no holes and was supposed to be used to catch the drips the the main and only container. I wanted to get a second worm farm so I could use one for feeding my son’s axolotl and one for worm breeding. This one is a container in a container in a container with a lid with air holes and little screen patches over that. Simple and effective and the worms are very happy and there are already cocoons in both containers- but I put holes in the other lid and screen patches and put the container in a container modeled after this one. It also has detailed instructions including how to get the worms into new material once they’ve turned the material into “black gold” and tit want to use it!

Great idea, but...
Loved the price, and it came quickly and the shredded paper starter was great. I bought the worms elsewhere. OK, so the negative was that the bins, once full, don't nest as neatly and I had an escape or two on the part of my worms.

My first bin, working okay
Ordered the bin and 250 worms to start. Instructions were a good help and appreciated that paper shreds/bedding were included as part of the packaging. A decent amount of worms died shortly after being placed in the bin- I read later online that I should have rehydrated them with water first. The air holes on the top seem to be covered in glue so I’m not sure if the ventilation is working ideally. Other than those small issues, I’ve had it going a few weeks and it seems like the worms are finally eating. I ordered some more worms to speed up the process. Overall a great starting point and fits perfectly under my sink in my apartment

I love my little tiny kitchen worm bin!
I've got it's right next to my cutting board in the kitchen. Little bits of fruit and veggies, and whatever, just goes right in there. I've got Louisiana Swamp Worms in there to eat all my garbage. Those little guys are only a couple inches long and cute as all get-out! They're hungry little buggers! This is fun! ( I got the worms from The Garden and Worm Lady!)

Great Starter
I ordered in the winter and was concerned the worms were DOA, but once I emptied the jar, I saw that they were fine. I made my bedding a little different from their instructions, but I appreciated the info card. The "kit" had everything I needed as a beginner.
