This is mixed media paper, 138 lb. I used it for watercolor, and it performed expertly. A beautiful, non-texured paper. Bought a 2nd I liked it that much.

The paper is great.My only issue is the packaging.it came in a soft bag and the mailperson folded it and stuffed in our mailbox.It it had a warning. Not to fold he would had put in in the bigger mail box

I love this book. I use all types of mixed media in it. It's a great size and the papers are thick enough for watercolor and paints. I do use Gesso first. I would buy this again as the price is great too!

This is EASILY my favorite sketchbook. I dabble in all sorts of media and the thick paper in this sketchbook suits everything from colored pencils to ink to watercolor. It's a large but reasonable size, so I can take it with me to class or for drawing outside.The only media I would say to avoid with this sketchbook is any sort of marker. This paper sucks up ink like nothing else and you can't really blend markers together on it.

This turned out to be a great paper for watercolors, acrylics and gelli plate use. I had been using another brand at 140 lbs, but this 138lb turned out to be as effective. I would say this is cold press but don't see it on the cover. The tooth side is smoother than I expected, but reacted to paint like the heavier brand. I will continue to use this for many projects.

I use Canson paper for all of my art projects. It's priced right and comes in different sizes to suit my needs. I can usse colored pencils on it, and I use watercolors as well.
