Great little book

Haven’t drawn my world yet but the book is fantastic!

I am a beginner and was inspired by the ideas presented in this book. I have only scanned it so far, but it seems to provide inspiration to find your own way, which appeals to me.

I loved the authors first book and it really encouraged me to start drawing. Drawing on a smaller scale and using actual objects etc mafe it much easier to start to put pencil to paper in a notebook or sketchbook rather than a large intimidating sheet of white paper.This book gives you the same confidence but this time using the local neighbourhood rather than small objects.It also covers some of the basics of the technical knowledge, for example, perspective that is required to tackle the "larger picture". This is all done in the friendly and approachable manner as the rest of the book.Another excellent book from this author.

I’m over the moon with Samantha’s new book and for sharing with the world how she simplifies every object. I’m mostly excited about the section on perspective; from a book on a table to a bigger structure. In general the book as always has beautifully pencil sketches and fully coloured.

This book has it all. It's beautifully presented. It's easy to use. It covers all areas necessary to produce good results. The lessons are to the point but contain enough detail for all levels. Can't imagine being without it .

This book is amazing! Samantha's work is absolutely beautiful and so inspiring. This is not only a feast for the eyes but also very helpful for anyone either starting out, established in their art practice or somewhere in between. I highly recommend it!

Good inspiration to help you start your drawing

Es un libro que te da una idea de los diferentes materiales y técnicas para quienes tienen interés en el dibujo y pintura pero saben poco o nada. Trae un repaso sobre materiales, lápices, colores, pinceles, acuarelas, gouache. Viene lleno de ilustraciones muy lindas e inspiradoras, lo cual hace que incluso hojearlo sea placentero. Esta es la versión en Inglés pero la partes de las explicaciones son sencillas así es que incluso si no sabes inglés es fácil de traducir.

The way perspective is explained in this book, is just awesome. The starting part can be skipped i.e the materials. Best book for quick learning.

Ich bin noch ziemlicher Anfänger im Sketchen und das Buch brachte mir viele Anregungen. Es ist schön aufgemacht, ich konnte bereits einiges erfolgreich nachzeichnen, das Buch ist auf englisch, aber man braucht nicht perfekt englisch reden zu können, um mit dem Buch arbeiten zu können.
