Not Made in Germany; Misleading Picture
No longer made in Germany. Case has "Bit Selector 1/4" instead of what's shown in the item picture. It's also missing the "Made in Germany" part. The back of the packaging even has the old picture, which seems incredibly lazy.Upon examination, I would guess that the T5 and T6 bits are made in a different factory than the rest of them, since they're laser engraved and not stamped. The 1/4" holder was also of an incredibly poor quality, which came out of the packing extremely marred and with a very faint roll mark.My guess is that the box is made in Vietnam, the T7-T30 in Germany, and the rest in Taiwan. I'm not a tool snob or anything, but if I wanted a cheapo set of bits without any regard to quality I would have gone to the local home improvement store instead of paying 3x as much on Amazon. Wiha, choose carefully where you decide to cut corners, because at the same time, you'll end up cutting customers.

Neat kit that doesn't live up to their own hype of "industrial quality"
I really like the case for organization and the included magnetic bit holder. It really is a nice little package to keep in your tool chest. The larger Torx bits have worked out just fine. However, I recently needed to use one of the smaller bits. I inserted the T6 into a screw and tightly seated the bit to avoid stripping the bit or the screw. On the first twist the T6 bit simple broke off the whole tip. The metal was super soft. If you read the Wiha product description it says, "Industrial quality through hardened bits". Definitely not true, at least for the smaller bits anyway. I contacted Wiha a few days ago and they responded with, "Sorry but there is no warranty on bits Thanks". Thanks for what? I'll be selecting a different manufacturer of bits in the future even though I do like the organization of Wiha.

Poor Quality steel, Likely not hardened.
I purchased this set in September of 2016 primarily to aid in the disassembly of pocket knives and other small tools. The bit that got the most use was the T6 Bit, which broke during the first use while trying to get a pocket clip off of one of my knives. Since then the bit has twisted and stripped to the point of being completely useless.I realize this is being written two years after i purchased it, however that is mainly because it does not get that much use, but when i need it i expect to be able to use it, which i can no longer do. I can not speak on the quality of the other sizes but i'm sure the results will be similar if i ever do use them.Would not recommend.

Excellent.
Buying this set was a must for me to take apart my knives for maintenance, and I wanted to make sure I had at least a T5 tip up to T8 . Big range of sizes and they seem to be very well made. Great little box selector and opens up very smoothly, and having a small, magnetic tip handle is nice to have. You can also use the entire box as a handle for more rigorous jobs. I will definitely look into Wiha should I need more tools of the sort. Great stuff!UPDATE: Not only has it helped me with my knife care, I was able to use these bits for my mountain bike rotor and grips as well! Extremely happy with this set!

Not as expected. ..
I have stripped two bits out with minimal effort. I was led to believe these were the be all end all for knife disassembling. I am pretty disappointed in the quality.

Quality Torx Bits That Are the Proper Size.
If you are thinking of buying this torx set so you can take apart your pocket knife for maintenance, then you have selected the right set. Some of the cheaper torx sets are off spec, especially on the smaller T5 and T6 bits. One cheap T6 bit, I have since thrown away, would actually rotate freely in the T6 screw it was supposed to fit. When I first started to use this Wiha set, I thought they forgot to send me the bit handle. Then I realized the box itself, not only stores the bits and the extender, it also functions as the handle. The only downside to using the box as the bit handle is that the box is so large, you can easily put TOO MUCH torque on a screw. If you use the box as the bit handle, don't over tighten the screws you are installing.UPDATE: I found something that is annoying, but is easy to fix. The magnetic bit holder on the extender is TOO strong. The small bit are very difficult to remove from the extender. I fixed this by sliding a very small wad of paper down on top of the magnet. Now the bits are held maybe 1/32 of an inch away from the magnet and can be easily removed.

I was cautious prior to purchase
Since Wiha no long manufactures all of thier products in Germany I had some hesitation on ordering this. Where it is manufactured in not marked. So, I took a chance and ordered it. Upon receipt the packing states "Made with global components in Germany, Vietnam and Taiwan. " This is not reassuring. However, I did check the fit of these against an older Wiha set I am certain was made in Germany. They fit just as well as the German made bits. Will they hold up over time? Will they strip out those tiny T6 screws? Only time will tell. I gave tis product a 4-star rating because they seem to fit well. But not having the integrity to mark where the product was manufactured was justification for me to down grade the rating.

Compact design perfect for a kit
I bought this set for servicing my collection of folding knives and I use one or more of the bits almost daily. I can't risk using a cheap torx bit and stripping the head of a screw on a knife that costs hundreds of dollars. That's why I chose Wiha which is pretty much the recommended standard among knife enthusiasts. I love the compact sliding storage case. It holds the bits and a provided extension securely for tossing in a travel kit which is great for breaking down a knife in the field.

This is a handy torx storage/ driver unit. The only improvement would be to put a magnet in the bit holder so it is more secure.

Pass
The bites strip super easy, I’m not sure this is a real wiha set.

Poor quality bits
Bought this to take a few knives apart, twisted the tips off the smaller torx bits on the first attempts.Would not recommend for removing or installing any fasteners requiring a reasonable amount of torque.
