Need for Speed

Story of Tobey who has an auto restoration shop that is not doing too well financially. He wins a street race with other classic muscle cars to make pay roll for the shop. He is made an offer by his long-time rival Dino (who also has Tobey's old girlfriend Anita) to finish Carol Shelby's final car. Tobey and his guys finish the car to get paid a load of $.Then Dino offers Tobey a race to get even more $. Unfortunately it goes terribly wrong and Tobey does two years in jail. When he gets out he has made plans with the owner of the Shelby they assembled to drive it cross-country to gain enough attention to be invited to a secret race in California called the De Leon. When Dino sees what is going on he offers a car to anybody who can stop Tobey. Crazy car goings on.Tobey is able to be involved in the De Leon. Occasional stilted sentence structure, swearing throughout.

I was SO EXCITED this arrived wayyyy faster than expected. But be careful! This version is hardcover but not in English!! I kept it anyways and bought a paperback English version.

There was nothing I didn't like about this. It was an amazing book. It had everything to love about cars and nothing to hate.

Have seen the film and wanted to read the book. This bok is every bit as exciting as the film. Beaultifully written capturing the flavour of Street Racing with a super plot line.Great Read

I wanted need for speed dvd not a book

I bought this after seeing the film at the cinema and really enjoying it. Its similiar to the movie for the most part but has a bit more detail here and there. If you enjoyed the movie its worth getting the book.
