At first when I opened it, I thought what are these strips? Really it'll keep things moist?? It's true I have this for my herbs on my kitchen window sill and my peppermint and basil are doing great. I had an avocado seed that was starting to show roots -- so I decided to place it in here, just for the time being. Well now I need to remove the plans since the avocado is doing great in this container. The other one I took to a friends place and when she went on vacation, it works perfectly for her plants as well.I also have one for my catnip, just trying to keep the cats out but those are doing great as well.

I like these planter boxes however they tend to be on the small side for all of my herbs

Repotted in these new pots and so far so good but when I test them it always shows moist. I think that will be good for my mint but not sure if it will be good for the ones that require less moisture.

Boxes are great but have one issue. You cannot tell if these are food safe for growing food, herbs etc . but otherwise great purchase

I'm torn about this product. I'm not sure that it works because the roots in the plants aren't long enough.

This review is intended for the rectangular pots. I ordered these because they’re cheap, and I wanted to put a crawling plants in one. I do have my plants in LECA and had issues with it transferring the water properly. They definitely have a cool design, but if you’re looking to use this for passive hydro then I can’t recommend this product. Also I tried to use the cotton strips that come with it and they also didn’t help.

I like the quality for the price. It is sturdy. I used them for growing my window pane herbs and the small ones to grow some microgreens.
