Claro walnut burl is used in many crafts, from wood turning to musical instruments, knife handles, game calls and pens. Burl walnut may be a challenge to turn for the novice turner due to incredible swirl grain. Claro walnut burl polishes nicely with repeated coats of natural tongue oil.
