Will this work on a diesel engine

I'm not an expert, but I would say the concept of a combustible engine applies the same principles. Gasoline engine has cylinders, diesel engins has cylinders, gasoline engine has spark plugs which ignite fuel, diesel engine has glow plugs for more viscous fuel, both have a crank shaft, cylinder chambers, which work off of compression. As far as the different sized fittings, I would check the size of your glow plugs to see if they are compatible with any of the fitting sizes thar come with the kit. Everything else dealing with compression is based off the engine specs for compression.
