Perfect, Slim laptop backpack
This is a great slim 14 inch Laptop bag similar to prior model 114 with good improvements over the older that is still sold (I had prior model for 4 years until it was killed in washing machine accident with the straps [older model is $9 dollars cheaper as of this writing]).The 414 is a really nice bag with the following features, not all necessarily advertised:*Comfortable fit and adjustable straps with velcro fasteners to keep excess length in the straps tidy after adjustment.*Besides main 2 compartments most laptop bags have; there are 7 zippered compartments to keep your stuff organized and readily available.*Main 2 zippered compartment only go 1/2 down bag length, this keeps the bag from flopping open and helps keep stuff in these compartment from flying out. You would be surprised how many bags do not do this. *Main compartment of course has padded laptop sleeve section.*There are of course dedicated slots for phones, pens, keychain loop and such. *It is the smaller inside zippered compartments that are key for me. They keep you organized and further keep smaller items from falling out of bag or being difficult to find.* 3/7 of auxiliary zippered pockets are inside main sections.* 1/7 of auxiliary zippered pockets is at the top of the bag for ready access* 1/7 of padded auxiliary zippered pockets is hidden from view at the back of the bag to put a wallet/Phone or other valuables out of pickpocket access since you can't get to it without the bag being removed from your body.* 2/7 Side auxiliary zippered pockets and 2 water bottle holders (have not tried these yet).Real world size info: I find this bag spacious for a small slim bag (I routinely have my 13 Inch Retina mac, wallet, cell, keys, 1/2 dozen memory sticks, cycling gloves (and at least until i get to work my breakfast and lunch in zip-locks). If it’s raining I can shove my thin lightweight windbreaker in there too. I'm a 40 Long and 185 pounds and found the bags size perfect. I barely had to adjust the strap length but there is plenty more for bigger people.Very Pleased again. For those considering the older model, it does not have the security pocket, has only 2 auxiliary zippered compartments inside main and no side pockets/water holders. If older model had been in stock I probably would have just re-ordered it:) Happier still now with the new version/model 414.***FYI about Laptop bags as I read comments form some surprised that this bag was not really large:Most people buying a slim/small laptop bags do so on purpose:*It keeps things neat.*It keeps you from bumping into your fellow commuters if you take mass transit or other tight spaces.*Keeps you from overpacking and hurting your back and making clutter.*Laptop bags meant for 13-14 inch laptops are almost always going to be slim and small and not able to hold much more then the laptop, charger, wallet, phone and other small stuff. Best described as **Slim/small.*Bags that hold up to 15.6 Inch Laptops hold much more gear besides the laptop and are best described as Medium sized.*Bags that hold 17 inch Laptops hold a lot of gear and are best described as Large.

Great for my purposes!
This is a fantastic bag! Small and compact with a good amount of pockets! It is perfect for my needs as I am a student gone digital. This is a great backpack for those who pack some school essentials while tossing the textbooks goodbye and go digital instead. The back of the backpack is very comfortable and well padded! The bottom padded part has a secret pocket too! Straps are good although it could use just a bit more padding. Everything else about this backpack is great!!! Fantastic for what my needs are! It can fit in my glasses, pencils and pens, erasers, highlighters, cables, power banks, flash drives, graphing and scientific calculators with the case on the graphing one, headphones with the case, fully stuffed one inch binder, water bottles on the sides, amazon kindle, and my 10.1 inch screen Asus laptop!Once again if your a student who plans to go digital and wants a smaller form factor of a backpack then by all means get this one! It's great! The only downside I can say is that the outside material doesn't really look and feel like the waterproof kind and if you are anywhere over 5 feet 1-2 inches tall then it may look very small on you to the point of embarrassment.*IMPORTANT NOTE* - The 4th, 5th, and 7th picture shown from Amazon before I bought this backpack is slightly misleading as it shows this backpack having a band on the back used to help put the bag on those suitcase luggage carrier handles. Mine does not have it and I don't believe I got a defect. I checked this same backpack from the Case Logic website and looked at this exact model name and the pictures show the one I got without the band on the back! Also the one on the Amazon pictures had smaller back support pads on the back at the sides while the one from Case Logic and mines has bigger pads and by bigger I mean more vertical.

Great backpack, can be a bit uncomfortable when heavy and carried for a while
I’ve had this bag for more than two years now and use it when I travel. I usually stuff it with a couple laptops, wireless headphones, power packs, chargers (at least one, but most of the time two), a jacket and some snacks. It holds up well to all the abuse I throw at it - i usually put it under the seat in front of me (for quick access) and rest my feet on top of it, yet it protects my laptop and other electronics from damage. However, it can sometimes get annoying to carry on the back as I start feeling pain around the back of my neck (mostly lower part of the neck where it meets the back).I love the handle at the bottom which makes it easier to pull out of the overhead compartment (in the rare cases I put it there with the top towards the inner walls)Other than that, great backpack - well priced and fits a lot of stuff for its size.
