Can these jars be used for traditional water-bath canning and fermentation, and do the lids provide an airtight seal?

These are ideal for airtight storage and pickling. The built-in food-grade silicone gasket ensures a secure, leak-proof seal to keep contents fresh.

Are the metal lids rust-resistant, and what is the best way to clean them for long-term use?

Lids feature a rust-resistant finish. For best care, hand wash and dry immediately with a cloth. Avoid soaking or air-drying in damp areas.

Do these jars follow standard mouth specifications for replacement lids and accessories?

Yes, these feature the Standard Regular Mouth (70 mm). They are compatible with universal 70 mm Mason jar accessories such as daisy lids or shaker tops from major brands.

Is the glass durable for use in the dishwasher and freezer, and can it be heated in the microwave?

Made of thick soda-lime glass, the jars are dishwasher safe (glass only) and freezer safe when leaving headspace. To prevent thermal shock, microwave and oven use are not recommended.

What foods are recommended for this jar size, and is it suitable for long-term pickling?

Ideal for pickles such as cucumbers, olives, and chili peppers, as well as jams, jellies, and homemade sauces. Also suitable for small-batch fermentation like kombucha or kimchi. The 480 ml capacity is practical for pantry storage or gifting.
