Bought these last summer for my kids (12,9, and 7) and they all had so much fun putting these together. They aren’t over complicated, but they all needed adult assistance for portions of the build. Be patient, enjoy the time together, and have fun!

For the average cost of $5/kit, these are fantastic for days at home. The tools needed are included. The directions may require a bit more puzzling than Kiwico sometimes, but my 8 year old can usually do it on his own. This is maybe the 6th box by Poraxy that we've bought in the last year or so and they've all been great for the building experience.

A frustrating inhibitor to the kit's independent completion.❌ Kit didn't provide all tools necessary to construct.

This was purchased as a gift for our 10 year old son and he loved it. His 2 siblings (7 & 11) also got to build one each and also absolutely loved it. Sadly the builds are not that sturdy and will break easily, but all in all a great purchase

This was an awesome kit! My son loved making the lockbox from this. Easy enough for him to follow along the instructions with a bit of help from me.

My 10 year old loved building this. He did most by himseld but did need help in some parts. The music boxes are very cool for the kids to watch the moving parts and the little robot is super fun. I am ordering more of these sets.

The piano is a wind up music box, but the windup mechanism broke after one use. I would prefer a hand crank music box for younger kids.The coin bank had metal rods to push onto plastic arm joints. This was very difficult to do. Also, something did not work right arms became twisted and did not raise properly. The coins just fall into an area with the internal mechanisms which will impact longevity. Overall, I think this was too hard of a build for 8 year olds without assistance.The music box with hand crank gets a 5/5 - my son loved it so much he wants to save it for his children in the future!Safe worked great too! Be sure to write down the code if you change it off of 000.My only complaint is that the instructions are not clear as to which screw length to use so kids often choose the wrong ones. The screw drivers should be magnetized to help hold onto the screws as they are so tiny.

My 8 year old enjoyed putting each one together. All the pieces fit perfectly, just follow the instructions EXACTLY. Each project is individually packaged with everything you will need to assemble it.Hint; if something doesn't fit, YOU did something wrong... example...the directions for the legs on the piano says 'to use the long screws.' okay in the pack, you have some short ones for the hinge, the long ones for everything else except for the music device, those use the M3 screws which are longer but also a little thicker. That being said, it is also clearly indicated in the directions. As long as you completely read the directions FIRST, you will have no issues. AND if an 8 year old can assemble these by herself , anyone can.My only suggestion to the company is although the written version of instructions are great, make QRs directed to an English version website.
