The back looks plastic but what it has is a very thin film of glass that runs through it so you really can't tell by holding it and looking at it. You will not be able to tell unless it breaks. Once I got the back off of my phone I could see they were the same. All the tools you need to take your phone a part are included in this kit. I was happy to get all those tools and some I didn't need. You will need to search out a how to video on the internet. Very simple. Note: The blue lining needs to be removed on the new back, it covers the glue to reattach the back. Seller was very helpful with my questions.

I believe its the same as the original. I wathed a video showing how to do it since instructions are not included. After meticulously removing the camera lens cover to reuse on the new back cover, I opened up the new cover to find out it already is included! That was a pleasant surprise. The little tools were helpful....i actually used the tiny flathead screwdriver to separate the old cracked glass. It ended up cracking all the way around as i removed it....maybe i should have heated it a little more...anyway its a good product i think....looks identical to old one.

It fit my phone perfectly. Easy to install. Only problem is the camera lenses are so cloudy it wont take sharp pictures no. Forget scanning QR codes with these lenses. If I hadn't thrown my old ones away I would take the lenses out and replace yours with the old ones.

I would imagine getting the old back cover is the hardest part. Fortunately, for me my old back cover was coming up on its own. Original back cover wasn't cracked, but needed new adhesive so I bought this replacement. Replacement is identical to the original, probably not the original Gorilla Glass, but it's nice, and definitely made from glass.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to replace only issue i have is the camera lense that came with it was cloudy I recommend if nothing is wrong with old camera back to keep it and attach to new body back

This was the 3rd one Ive bought and the only to be glass even though the others clamed to be. I got the back glass cover for the actual phone. It is great quality and the replacement kit it comes with worked great. The only thing it needs would be some tweezers. Buy it was easy to install and the best part it was ACTUALLY GLASS!

Simply put it doesn't come with adhesive.
