Should have taken a pic. The batteries were DoA. As I mentioned in my feedback to seller, it works fine for my purposes and it's an office so I had a million reliable AAA batteries to put in it. The big thing everyone needs to know is an accurate infrared forehead reading is 1-degree Fahrenheit below what everyone in USA expects from an oral thermometer. So, all the healthy people were 97 degrees. I put a label on it so everyone understands that a 99-degree temp is a real problem and they need to go home. And never call your brand of battery BURSTO!

This appears (having only just had it delivered) a good product.Having had over the last year several cheaper thermometers that just did not do there job in giving a valid reading and one broke within minutes.This gives an instant reading, forehead 36.5C so am normal. I have no gauge to say how accurate this is, but compared to other devices which have taken move than 20 seconds to give a result which at times were clearly wrong thus giving me no trust in those products.So great for head temperature.Interesting taking room temperature. Point it to different parts of a room and you can quickly tell which are the colder parts, ie by windows and areas away from the radiators. Not brought for this but interesting.Point it outside gave a reading 4.5C, same as my outdoor mercury thermometer.So feeling pleased with the device.

We bought this to replace an under arm thermometer and wish we hadn’t. It shows my two year old grandson as having a temperature of 36.4 but when we used our regular thermometer it was actually 39.1!

Having purchased cheaper trigger gun type thermometer's in the past that have stopped working after a short time I was looking for something different .... and better. I decided to take a chance on this thermometer and I'm very pleased with it. With the machine off you point it at your forehead and press the button, this switches the machine on and takes a reading all in the one movement. The readings seem consistent and it's easy to hold in the hand. It also comes with a small pouch to keep it in. All in all a nice thermometer and have just purchased another one for my parents.

This is outstanding value for money. So easy to use and dead accurate, proving you don't need to spend more. Essential purchase due to the circumstances we are living under at the moment. Don't hesitate, just buy it.

This thermometer has been so handy and quick, point at forehead, click, and you have the answer. Follow instructions to have patient and thermometer in same room for ten minutes to be accurate.
