Wonderful Seller and Beautiful Press
Five stars for the press, and five stars for the wonderful man who makes the press. I contacted the seller by phone as I needed the press for a birthday gift within a week. He was so gracious, and had my package ready and shipped that day.Just speaking to the man who actually makes these made me appreciate and value this press even more. It makes excellent tortillas. They are always perfectly round, and if you rotate them for the second pressing, perfectly flat. I recommend using gallon Ziploc baggies for the plastic for easy removal of the tortillas. So far I’ve made corn tortillas and cassava tortillas. Can’t recommend the product or the company more than five stars or I would. Also, this is the second one I’ve purchased. One for me and one for my nephew. A lovely, unique and useful gift!

The press works very well. It makes consistently good tortillas. I use about 3 tablespoons of dough and it gives me tortillas about an eighth of an inch thick and about six inches in diameter. Also, it is a beautiful object to have in one's home. The design has a simple elegance; the woods and craftsmanship are top quality.A few of tips I discovered for making tortillas: If you mix your own masa dough, let the dough sit in the bowl five minutes before you use it. That way the flour fully hydrates, and the dough has a better texture. Also, I cut a quart-sized ziplock bag down each side and and lay it open on the press before flattening the dough. The dough releases easily from the plastic and there is little or no cleanup when finished. Finally, I keep a dampened towel next to the cooktop so that I can lay the tortillas on it and flop the top over to cover them when they come out of the pan. The moist heat gives a soft texture, and makes them more pliable.

Quality. The best
I love this tortilla press. I previously bought a larger commercial grade press. It was a piece of junk, arrived damaged an wouldn’t press a tortilla thin no matter what I tried. Sent that back and bought this one. This is a work of art. I am so impressed. Presses very thin, and perfectly round. I’ll be leaving this one on my counter.

Tortillas are a GO
My wife wanted this and while I thought the cost was a bit high and was going to make one for her, I bought anyway and while I think it should retail for about 29.99 or 39.99 at the most, it is very nice and she says it makes very good tortillas with ease and looks well made. She makes the best homemade tortillas corn or flour and this keeps them coming from her and she is happy, that is all that matters. Plus, its made in the USA.

It will change your life just a bit
Sturdy and ergonomically sound this is an attractive bit of retro style and fine kitchen asset. I've been wolfing down tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas. It takes a couple of batches to get the feel of things and after that it is all very easy. There is nothing like freshly made tortillas for flavor, aroma and especially control of texture and size.

Worked great
Just recently made corn tortillas. I don't make them often since we watch our weight ; ) lol but anywho..I tried it out for the first time and I loved it. I use to own the cast iron kind but I don't know what happened to it. It just disappeared into thin air. I couldn't find any at the Mexican markets either so I decided to get Amazon and look for one. I decided to give this one a try, change it up a bit. I actually like it a lot better. It did the job. Would recommend for anyone thinking of buying one.

Tortillas, Pitas, Wraps and Pie Crust..this thing does it all!
I love this press! It's beautiful and very well made. Hint: Always use plastic wrap or those thin, flexible plastic cutting board type things with a spritz of non-stick cooking spray to protect your press and make clean up easy. So far, I've used it to make tortillas, low carb wraps and Pitas with it. I found with the yeast dough of the Pitas I needed to divide the dough, let it rest then flatten them out a bit before I pressed them..then leave them sit for a minute or two before opening the press and before putting them on the griddle. They turned out beautifully! Next I'm trying pie crust! I have the 11.5" large size and I highly recommend it!!

I have used it only once and I'm in love with it!
This tortilla press is excellent! I have used others and the tortillas were uneven and too thick. I have only used this one once and I'm in love with it. It makes the tortillas perfectly round with the perfect thickness and its super easy to use. I just hope it lasts forever!
