Does not fit a trailer with a 6 inch deep frame
Well-made and well packaged compared to another that I purchased, however, they send you 6 inch bolts went for a 6 inch trailer. You need at least 7 inch bolts. The frame adds at least a half or 3/4 of an inch, and the metal plates they give you add another 3/8.

Metal all the way to the top of PVC covers prevents flexing of posts and keeps boat aligned to center of trailer.
These trailer guides are tall and metal post goes all the way to the top. I decided not to shorten them for now, the extra height is not causing any issues for me. They do not flex like the past guides I had that broke in a high wind due to lack of metal reinforcement. There is a reinforcing bracket at the 90 degree bend that makes them sturdy/durable. The posts act as a visual goal post for the boat driver when the trailer is submerged, i.e. just point the bow between the goal posts sticking up out of the water. The guides are mounted about an inch on either side of the hull rub strip at the widest point on the hull of my 22 foot 1996 Kayot Ultima deck boat. Since they don't flex my boat stays centered on the trailer as I glide on. The PVC pipes over the metal posts spin if the hull run strip contacts them heavily enough. The posts make the trailer easier to back down the ramp when it is empty, i.e. since the posts are tall and can be seen in the rear view mirror as the trailer starts to lower as it approaches the water. I wrapped red reflector strips around the posts to make vertically spaced rings so I can tell when the trailer is submerged deep enough in the water for the boat to glide on properly. I have not had them long enough to see any rust yet. If your concerned about rust consider spray painting them prior to mounting them. Or, just accept that most of the rust will be hidden by the PVC covers over the metal posts.

4 Stars
Mounting Plates were not usable for my trailer. There was no room in-between the double axle fender and brake lights/Tag to utilize these plates. I had to buy u bolts drill holes to in frame to mount. The first trip down the road (65mph) I lost both pvc end caps, they had never had glue applied on them, and of course I didn't check before install. So after two trips to the hardware store I figured I would write this review. I bought the 65" poles and paid 180, and now there listed at 127. lol

Buy the best or buy again, these are worth it.
They've lasted 6 months so far and are very tough. They aren't meant for slamming your boat into at the ramp but they will guide you on and keep your boat from drifting over the fenders at the launch. These are a life saver for my boat because the bunks don't self center my boat like my old roller trailer did. I only gave them 4 vs 5 stars because they are not galvanized but zinc plated and I'm a saltwater guy. I painted mine and no rust yet. If you've boated long enough you know it's better to pay a little more and get the best vs buying crap over and over again. Cheers.

Frustrated, wondered how that happened.
The package arrived with a big hole in the package. I looked inside the box and the hardware was missing to mount the boat now rail guides. I was bummed as I leave for a big trip one week from now. Really, no mounting hardware. It was already late

DID NOT FIT OUT SIDE STEP TRAILOR BUT THEY ARE VERY, VERY WELL MADE
These did not fit out Nitro fishing trailer, that has a serious side board to step out on (which is a plus, unless looking for guides!) but they are a VERY good, sturdy, quality.

Great product. Even better customer support.
This product was very easy to install and serves its purpose very well. I had to contact customer support for a minor issue and they were extremely responsive and helpful in addressing the matter. Extreme Max is the total package. I highly recommend their products and services.

Broken pole
PVC pole arrived cracked. About a 2" crack. Rest of the kit is fine, but the box was severely damaged in shipping. Part fell out as it was coming up my driveway. ( I have pictures to email). Can anyone help with replacement PVC pole?

Very story and great for bigger fishing boats.
Bought small bunk style guides when I bought my 19' Alumacraft T-pro and cursed them every time I loaded the boat.Too shallow a landing, boat wouldn't ride up on bunks, too stepp and couldn't see low profile guides. Almost impossible to use with bigger boats and often would have to redo load several times.Now...wow...no matter steepness of landing out in the bush...just line up with these and wow...awesome!They are surprisingly sturdy as well...thought from internet reviews would bend or something but you would have to ram them hard to ever bend them.
