Amazingly, lemons went mouldy much, much faster in this than if just left loose in the fridge

I don't get why this is called a preserver container.?. The lemons get bad when stored in this container and they normaly last ages in my fruit tray. Even tried to keep in refrigerator and the end result was the same after ine day only. Also, looks quite bulky compared to this picture. I feel like I wasted my money on this

Matt plastic finish. The size was bigger than I expected. About the size of a tennis ball but shaped like a lemon.Convenient twist lock. It keeps the lemons a little fresher and moist but not for long. I slice lemons rather than segmenting them. so that the two ends of the lemon can be kept together to stay moist. I'd say you'd get an extra 1-2 days. but after that you'll have things growing inside it.Great gadget for kitchen "tidy-ness". My one grip - when its empty is quite light, so it tips over easily and rolls around easier than a Mexican jumping bean.

I don't think the main picture of the lemon is the same as the product, the second picture where the lemon is open is more true, it's ok, but I was expecting the plastic quality to be a bit better.
