Prairie Dog Pet Products Deer Giant Antler Treat, 6-7" (Assorted Color)

We have bought this product before and previously we had no issues. This time however it was terrible. I am not sure if it was a one off situation or if there is a quality change overall.This antler splintered within 2 minutes of my dog putting it in his mouth, from there shards kept breaking off and we had to take it and get rid of it. I was very disappointed overall.

I usually am a fan of buying antlers from this company. I’ve been a loyal customer for about a year. I have four dogs and find their products to be of quality and affordable.However, three days ago I ordered more bones. I debated about purchasing the giant size (pictured) or the size smaller. I figured I would spend the extra money per bone to get the bigger bones. Only the bone on the far left fits the quality that I usually received when I order giant. I am disappointed in the other three bones. For the size of those three I could have ordered the size down and saved money.

My dog is a medium chewer... he never has really gotten in to this much. Only time he's really interested in this is when my parent's dog comes over for a visit and starts chewing on it. Overall good for the price... but my medium chewer could live without.

I have a very high energy and destructive dog. He'd chew through rawhide bones within a few days. Rips apart stuffed toys within a couple hours. He needed something as tough as him, and that's what this antler is! It's a good size, not crazy about the pointed end, but it's never hurt my dog. He chews this for hours and barely even makes marks in it! Saves so much money in the long run because I don't have to constantly buy bones for him. Great product!!

Pretty good, dog likes it enough, but does not chew on it regularly. Seems legitimate, maybe your dog will like it better?

While the antler may measure 6" long as described, "giant" is far from accurate and is misleading. I bought the antler for a Labrador and a Newfoundland based upon the "giant" description. The antler is 3/4" to 1" diameter at most. Either of my dogs can fit the entire antler in their mouths and make quick work out of such a small, hardly "giant" chew item. I'm afraid they would choke on this antler and won't be buying anything similar advertised as giant from Prairie Dog again.

My dog loves these antlers so we keep coming back for more. I have my husband saw them in half because they're too long for our 20lb frenchie to lay down and chew comfortably. Good problem to have, turns 1 chew into 2!

It amazes me how someone can use the word "giant" in an ad and think one would not confirm that claim.I ordered the 6"-7" antler for my Mastif-Rotti cross (yes, large, dog), and no matter in what direction I measure, I cannot come close to that 6-7 claim. The dog doesn't care, but I do. As Sam would say, "I paid my 25 cents to see the high divin' act..."
