Good product. Easy install. Serves the purpose.

I purchased a 4 Channel CCTV Security Eagle Eye DVR 4 Channel Full D1 Real Time Iphone Android Mobile Accessby Evertech in November 2014 on Amazon. The system DVR that was installed in 2007 was diagnosed with a faulty motherboard,so thus the replacement and upgrade. I contacted Evertech to ask questions about compatibility and installation. I spokewith Tufan Aksahin at Evertech in New Jersey. He provided me with all I needed to know regarding swapping out the DVR'sThe original 4 channel system DVR was connected to four CCTV cameras (Sony) hard wired with a junction box. The systemcameras are on coaxial cables with standard screw in connectors to the back of the DVR. The old DVR utilized a standardHDTV (19 inch). The DVR was ordered along with a Toshiba 1TB hard drive recommended by Evertech. The Evertech DVR doesNOT come with a pre-installed hard drive. Installation of the hard drive is simple and easy!Remove the top of the Evertech DVR case and install the SATA hard drive. Once installed, I made the camera connections to theDVR and used a computer monitor to bring up my 4 channels. The DVR worked flawlessly and the images were superior to the oldDVR. The menu system is excellent with more options than I had. The Evertech is one third the size of the old DVR which washuge. I recovered counter space in my kitchen and the system is back up and running.The DVR has a port for a wireless mouse if you choose to use one. I find a mouse easier to scroll between menu items andsetup surveillance parameters. There is a neat pullout menu on the screen (left side). It allows for changes in DVR behaviorto be changed very quickly. Setup an admin ID (easy) and your good to go. Once settings are made, turn off the mouse and theDVR locks your settings. The unit is very quiet and works as advertised. Don't let it's size fool you!The Evertech DVR is an EXCELLENT choice for setting up a new system or renovating an older one. Surveillance DVR'shave dropped in price and are packed with more features. I found the Evertech product to be a perfect and easy to installitem.Expect about seven years of life on a DVR. I was pleased with Evertech's desire to answer all my questions before Ipurchased this product. I highly recommend Evertech DVR,s. They offer 4, 8, and 16 or larger channel recorders witha wide range of features and options at great prices. Camera and DVR's packages are also available. Consider this,I paid $900.00 for the DVR in 2007. The Evertech DVR was $100.00 discounted and has more features and very compact.The price is very reasonable for the product you paid for. What you expect for the price. Great to replace a failed unit with a good hard drive and cameras. Has alarm inputs, email.

After way too long searching for a simple way to use my old, and already installed, BNC CCTV cameras I bought this DVR. It is hard to find the details of how many of these things work. I wanted access to the cameras when away from home, so I'll include the specifics of that in this review. After setting up the unit, I used the preprogrammed DDNS server to give myself a web address. The I opened the port in my router. With that done I logged in using the web page served up by the DVR. The web page has two main pages, one is mobile, and one is PC. The PC one requires that some add on or plugin be installed. The installation works on a PC, but will not on my mobile devices. The mobile page does work on my varied mobile devices, but it only displays one camera at a time, and the screen constantly refreshes to update the image. It is good enough for me. It should also be noted that there is a mobile app that allows split screen display among other features, and it also seems to work fine.

Extremely good unit for the price. Time will tell if it holds up. The software and camera on screen selections could be improved but again for the price this DVR so far has exceeded my expectation.

great dvr

I was going to return this because i could not view outside my network. After a few emails and a tech calling me, i am now able to see on my cell off my home network. Unit does what i want it to do.
