This was a birthday present for my partner. He absolutely loves it. He'd been looking forward to this edition and will never tire of reading it.

É um trabalho fantástico! Reunir todas as espécies em um único livro é, sob quaisquer pontos de vista, genial! Porém, não são fotografias e sim desenhos e, sinceramente, algumas gravuras deixam muito a desejar, o quê dificulta a identificação da espécie

Can’t make my mind up about this work. It’s value lies in the images of every bird currently known to man, but there is very little information on any of them and the quality of the illustrations is extremely uneven. I also find the lack of distribution maps annoying. Having said that, it is lovely to have such diversity of species between the covers of a single volume and any additional information can always be found on the internet. It’s a wonderful book to browse through and appreciate the sheer variety of birds.
