Leggett and Platt Head Board Brackets FXL/Q

Do not buy these if you have the leggett and platt 50 series! The 50 is the single way adjustable entry level one and it has NO holes on the frame at all for installing these brackets. Took over 10 days to receive and won't work anyways.

I purchased these parts because according to my manual for the Leggett and Platt adjustable bed, this was the compatible kit for a headboard. When I received the box, it was labeled as the parts. Once I opened the box, I was stunned to see incorrect parts. This was for a different bed and would not attached. The photograph for this is incorrect as well.I returned the parts because it was the incorrect kit, and the vendor hit me with an $11 restocking fee. My advice, call the Leggett and Platt customer service, very professional and will get you the correct adapter in 4 business days.

Fits multiple bed models, low quality paint job, missing nuts and bolts, no instructions included. Confusing to install, but once I got it hooked up, it is stable enough.

Very heavyduty metal, Instructions not real easy to follow. Easy to install and very sturdy. Used on a metal nickel headboard. So far very happy with this purchase.

Took me a while to figure out how to use it

We purchased the L&P Attwood queen adjustable base from Costco and these brackets to mount a headboard. The directions for the brackets did not correspond to our base but I found a YouTube video. For our particular base, we had to use a side-mounted connector bracket to mount the angled flange headboard brackets to the bedframe. There were no vertical holes drilled through the bedframe such that we could use the carriage bolts to mount the flange brackets directly to the bedframe, as shown in the directions for the twin bedframe. This results in a good eight inch gap or so between the mattress/base and the headboard with the mattress flat, and this is with all hardware adjusted to be as close to the bedframe as possible. In looking at pictures of adjustable bases with headboards, we now note that the headboard is merely wedged between the wall and the adjustable base; you don't see pictures of the headboard connected to the base with brackets. We are coming from a conventional bedframe in which the headboard mounted directly to the side frame rails and there was only a minimal gap between the mattress and the headboard. This gap is disappointing to us.

I purchased these for my Serta Motion Essentials adjustable bed frame. The brackets were a little confusing at first, but really weren't too bad to assemble. They do what they were intended to and that's all that matters.
