More than I happily bargained for.
Wow! They left no stone uncovered when they ventured out to do this cook book. To be honest, I bought this book for 1 simple recipe. Puff Pastry. I consider myself a somewhat accomplished baker in the world of wheat, but the world of Gluten Free (Not to mention adding Vegan into the fray) changes the playing field & presents it's own challenges as you probably very well know. I was duly impressed, as I sifted through the book. (It just arrived!!!) I will be contacting the author on a question I have concerning technique in her puff pastry as it seems to be missing a piece of the normal construction. Of course this may be different. But before wasting time, $,&, ingredients I shall check on this. Even if it is as I suspect, for me it's an easy fix & a notation in the recipe. This book is still a great book. The ingredients are basic & straight forward as far as Gluten Free goes. She, so far to my eyes, hasn't got you going to Zimbabwe for some crazy exotic ingredients, & the recipes make sense. Anyone dealing with GF dietary food issues will probably appreciate this book especially when longing for a bit of comfort food & something delectable.Allyson Kramer goes even further with a key system denoting if the recipe is Soy free, nut free, corn free, &/or bean free. She goes over different flours, sweeteners etc.The Novice will appreciate her thorough approach as well as others who can skip over what they don't need & go straight to baking. I think I am going to really enjoy this book & will have trouble getting it back once it gets lent out.

A great GF, vegan cookbook!
The recipes are very tasty, made with ingredients many GF bakers would have on hand, and easy to make. We have really enjoyed each recipe that we've tried so far.

Amazing recipes!
I am so impressed with this cookbook so far! It really makes delicious, gluten-free, vegan desserts possible and takes the guesswork out of it all! I've made: the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake, the Snickerdoodles and Ginger Snapper cookies, the Chocolate Silk Pie with the Sweetened Whipped Coconut Cream topping, and the Banana Bread. They have all turned out well and wonderfully delicious! I feel pretty confident that any recipe in this book would be great!
