These threads are great. They are strong and you get so many colors at a great price.

It's a very good assortment that is good to have colors on hand for mending or small crafts. They can be used on a machine but I'm more likely to use the thread in hand sewing for button replacement or fixing seams and tears. The set includes most any shade you could want, though for my purposes I'd swap some oranges for better variety in shades of purple and mid to light blue.

It’s so nice to have a great color selection. The 100% cotton thread is great for my sewing projects. Colors are vibrant. Thread is good quality.

PROS: - Great selection of colors for the money. - Colors are vibrant. - A lot of thread on each spool. CONS: - Thread is fuzzy and thicker than brands like Gutterman and Coates & Clark. - If it gets tangled in your machine, it WILL break apart (the thread, not your machine, hopefully). I bought this to fill in some gaps in the color range of my thread stash. It's a great deal, but use caution when using this thread, as it's not the same quality you may be used to from craft stores. Here are some tips that I have found work well for this thread. - For machine sewing, make sure to wind a bobbin with the same thread, so the weights match. This thread is thick, and if you use a bobbin with thinner thread, it won't work smoothly. - Keep the machine's speed down, especially if you are using it for decorative stitches. It works fine, you just have to use it more slowly. - I had much better luck when I sized my needle up to reduce friction, so this is probably not suitable for machine-stitching on fine or delicate fabrics. - For hand sewing, I definitely recommend pulling it through some beeswax once or twice to smooth down the frizzies and help keep it from tangling. It's very prone to twisting and tangling, but once I waxed it, it helped a lot. TLDR, if you are okay using caution and dealing with snapped thread occasionally, you can't beat the price for the selection and amount of thread that you get.

This is the perfect size and assortment for people who do alterations on clothes. It just takes a great deal of variety!

They seem to be very good threads. I like that out of 100 colors there's just no repeats! I do formal wear alterations in home and I go through lots of thread! My beige were getting to the point that everytime I needed one, I had nothing to match! I had to get just as close to the color needed as possible. I looked over many threads and many companies before landing on this bulk of threads. It just had more of the beige colors plus, you really got your money's worth with the rest of the colors! It had to be polyester, which this is. I NEVER use cotton! It breaks too easily plus it tends to have alot of excess fuzz. This polyester thread I would recommend.

Love the colors. I use these for hand binding my quilt for extra strength.

I LOVED the incredible variety of colors! Unfortunately, the thread quality is poor --very fuzzy. It frayed quickly and kept knotting when I was mending (by hand) a work shirt. Hard to thread through a needle due to fraying and unraveling of thread. Also, when individual spools are first opened, it's a challenge trying to find the start of the thread because it's so fuzzy and frays so easily. I will keep this product to use for emergency repairs, but I'll stick with Gutermann or Coats for bigger sewing projects, like curtains or clothing. -- Elizabeth (Wife of bd1132)

The colour selection is perfect for the price. Fraying isn't common, but can happen once in a while. I've sewn several different items from jeans to faux fur items without issue and never had the thread break.

Great selection of decent quality thread. It's fairly strong, not easily broken and the range of colours is brilliant fory requirements.
