Dyson Switch, Reset Dc24, Dc25

Button works great.For those of you repairing a Dyson, I read many forums and watched many videos. My brush-bar for the Dyson was intermittent. I initially thought it was the brush-bar motor...and had almost purchased a new one. However, it was the Reset Switch that ended up being the culprit.There are three buttons on the Dyson (DC24 was my model), two of which you use - ON/OFF switch and the BRUSH-BAR ON/OFF - but the third is hidden under the Brush-bar on/off switch. When you push the brush-bar button, it also activates the Reset Switch momentarily to get the motor going for the brush-bar. Anyway, saved myself $100+ with this purchase.

The beater brush in my Dyson DC24 quit working. Nothing I tried would work, and I assumed the motor had gone bad. Luckily, I saw an online post to check the reset button. I didn't have a continuity tester, so I just gambled on the switch. It was indeed the culprit, and brought the beater brush back to life. It saved me over $100 going this route.It is a bit of a hassle to get the old switch out as it takes some very specif torx drivers to remove the screws, but other than that, it's pretty straight forward.

Worked perfectly!I wasn't 100% positive this was actually the issue with my Dyson but at the price point, it couldn't hurt to try. I had already eliminated the power switch being the culprit. I installed this reset switch and voila I had a working Dyson again! Works and fits as advertised! Simple to install, just be careful when taking the switch cover off and note the position of the tension springs.

Arrived quickly from seller and cost of part is inexpensive. Used to fix my DC25. The brush roll would start for a split second and then stop spinning. I tried everything from cleaning the brush roll, making sure the belt was ok and cleaning out inside where the belt is located. It was the reset switch which for an approx. $8 part is an easy fix. Watch youTube videos . Biggest pain is the screws on inside of handle - star head not hex and not phillips - and then taking off the plastic casing without losing the spring(s) that are inside. The smaller spring which is on the brush roll button side is the biggest pain because it just pops out very easily. I replaced all 3 switches : reset and the 2 'power '.

Bought this to fix a friend's Dyson DC25. It had the famous intermittent brushroll issue. After I tested the other switches with a continuity check on my DMM, I found that this "reset switch", (which is actually more like a circuit breaker, like one you'd find in your home's electrical box, just smaller) was the problem.Unfortunately, I couldn't find any way to buy this part from the manufacturer, Kuoyuh, directly. So paying $15 for such a basic part to come in a Dyson bag was annoying. But at least it was Prime and got here quickly, so my friend could have their vacuum back.

I had issues with my DC25 with the front roller randomly stopping every now and then which eventually stopped working altogether. I opened up the entire vacuum, took it completely apart, made sure all the wires were intact, cleaned out all the hair (my dogs shed like whoa), and the front motor+roller still wouldn't turn back on. I was worried I'd have to replace the front motor but I first decided to replace this reset switch. And sure enough, it worked. Whew. Saved me $80+

Dyson DC25 wasnt activating the brush head. brush head would spin for about 2 or less seconds then turn off. Replaced the entire brush head, still doing it. Replaced this little switch and fixed the problem. Wish I would have found this first!

I replaced the reset switch, starter switch, and beater bar on/off switch. Thanks to Amazon (and their vendors) and YouTube, I was able to fix my old Dyson for under $30. Thanks also to those who took time to review these great products. The items were all delivered promptly and work as advertised.

Perfect repaired issue

Great fitment, this replacement switch made my 6 year old dyson good as new! Its cheaper than my local store (chinese knockoff), and on the plus side this is original replacement from Dyson. I am certain this switch will outlast the vacuum itself so we'll see. Amazon is amazing!
