Magellan Echo Smart Sport Watch (Orange)

I have used one of these for around 3 years. This is my second one and it came with a heart rate monitor. If you carry your phone when you run, then this is probably the best watch around, it uses your phone's GPS and you can set the display to give you a huge amount of different metrics; distance ran, time ran, average pace, split average pace, cadence, heart rate etc etc.It connects instantly and you do not need to stand around waiting for a GPS connection - unlike a Garmin.All data is saved on your phone, so you have a complete running log, with every metric you could ever wish for.I would recommend getting the heart rate monitor as well and using it with the ismoothrun app on an iphone.

En si esta bien, hace lo que ofrece, pero en un Iphone solo puedes controlar la musica de Itunes, asi que no sirvio para eso, yo no tengo Itunes. otro punto, la bateria de tu celular se va a acabar, quiza si conviene un reloj con GPS integrado y dejar el celular en paz.como cronografo independiente, lo que no me gusto es que solo se ve eso, no puedes ver la hora, detalle en contra, Es super liviano

PROS: The watch works well with the MapMyFitness apps; the band is durable; the display is easy to read.CONS: When synched with an app, the watch will not display the time.Overall: I purchased this watch at a really good price (I suspect it's because the orange band wasn't popular). Had I paid full price, I would have been less pleased. Not being able to see the time while synched is a BIG con to me.

Work well but batterie was dead when i receive it and batterie life is like 3 week

Let me start by saying I very seldom give 5 stars even when I am very satisfied with the product, I just think there's many unfair reviews here.What's for:If you're considering this watch just keep in mind this is NOT a smart watch, this is a wrist display for your fitness app running on your phone, don't expect it to be more than that and you will be very happy.I am currently using Wahoo on Android and it works perfect, is exactly what I was looking for; I wanted a watch that shows my stats while jogging and allow me to pause the work out all that without having to take my cellphone from my waist bag, you can also pause the music which I don't really need it because I can do it from my wireless headphones, but I believe the music have to be started from your fitness app and Pandora is not on the Wahoo list, but I am no exactly sure about that.The watch:is extremely light, which is perfect for me I have a Moto 360 2nd gen wich IS a smart watch and honestly I never jogged with it cause is heavy to wear it during workout and cause I don't want to sweat all over my pretty rose gold $350 watch. OK back to Echo, the watch is quite big for skinny females but since is so light I doubt anyone will complain about that, check the pic I uploaded you will see my wrist is super skinny, the band has holes all the way so no problems there either, they say the band cannot be replaced, so for that I will advice to only wear it during workouts, clean the sweat afterwards and keep it away from hot environments (don't leave it in your car).The watch connected to my app very easy and fast, I was just a little lost because I was trying to pair it to my phone using the Bluetooth settings and connection was rejected, seems that you have to pair it from the fitness app, or at least that was the case for my Android Moto X and my Wahoo app.Extras:One awesome surprise I got was that this watch came with a heart monitor wich I won't be using cause I have my Wahoo Tickr, but I certainly appreciate to have a spare one, I probably didn't read the part that says it comes with it, but for me was a nice surprise and for $38.98 is definitely not too shabby, is actually a bargain.Price: well I first saw this watch on their website and this model I believe cost $150 with heart monitor and $99 without it, I certainly believe is overpriced on their website, probably $50 is fair for the one without heart monitor.Quality: I will update in a few months.
