Works great with Xfinity. Easy online setup. Didn't need to call to activate it. Good, not great, wifi signal strength. About the same as Xfinity's Cisco that I replaced. Buy the one with the McAfee offer, same as the full price one and you don't need to activate the McAfee offer.Update: Modem is still going strong after 6 months, no problems. However, I paid only $110 for mine and they have jacked the price up $50 since July. The same model in going for $132 without the McAfee. This one is no longer worth the money.

this was the third attempt at forcing spectrum to recognize a piece of equipment that i owned and hadn't purchased from them. No joy.Spectrum has now finagled a way to make it so that no new accounts can use their own equipment because of some bogus "300 up/300 down" service that disables any equipment but their own. So i am forced to rent a piece of equipment that i dont want for a service that is down half the time anyway.Buyer beware if you're on spectrum. either get another provider if you can (i can't. i live in a building that prevents any other provider service) or prepare to have spectrum gouge you for rental of equipment that is slow, ugly, clunky and allows spectrum to throttle your speeds at will.this modem worked great hooking up to my network, it was quick and easy....but spectrum has prevented any owned equipment from accessing their service without their equipment.
