Hodder Children's Books Famous Five Colour Short Stories: Five Have a Puzzling Time

My 6 and 5 y/o love these . I hope they made more because is the right mix between text and pics.

My 7 year old simply loved this, this is the first of Blyton books for her and allthough the plot is easy it is appealing to a child. The new pictures work fine and the text is nicely distributed on the pages to help reading. So this is a good book after reading schemes. We will probably have to buy all the books...

Worth buying!

My 10 year old absolutely loves these books. They're more modern looking than the originals and the stories are shorter and simpler so they're a great confidence builder for children who are making the transition from little kids books to 'proper books'. They seem expensive for what they are because the print is quite large and there's not a lot of pages but my son reads them over and over again so he gets good value from them. I'm not a fan of modern childrens literature so I'm thrilled he is enjoying these innocent classics.

My dyslexic 8 year old has really got into reading these books. They are accessible for him and a fun story.
