Not enough threads!
The design is beautiful, has a mix of half cross and full cross and blended threads which gives a 3D effect. The kit comes with a colour chart (this is not easy to shade the stitches as you go, I scanned mine onto non glossy paper) and threads and Aida fabric.I had issues with the company though, I ran out of a few of the colours of thread in the kit, just as I was finishing the whole stitched piece. In the leaflet it says that dimensions kits have their own threads and so to contact them directly for more if you run out. After sending various emails (the original email didn’t work, they don’t exist anymore - think the company has changed?) I managed to get a reply that just said I had to go and buy the threads myself using the dmc/anchor chart thread conversion. I checked and the colours are not the same as the dimensions threads. I contacted them again and it was only after complaining I got sent the threads I needed to complete the project. If you are planning on buying the kit, be aware that the thread amounts are extremely tight and there are lots of people in stitching forums complaining about running out. If I did it again, I would change all the threads over to dmc so I know that I have enough. I am overall happy with the stitched result. It’s not a difficult stitch to do.

Cross-stitches are different to tapestries -- I didn't know this before!
I bought this for my Mum for her birthday, as she is the hardest person to buy for ON THE PLANET. Thanks Mum.Hanging above Mum and Dad's sofa is a massive cross-stitch, it's HUGE, of a woodland scene, so I thought this would be perfect. Only, that wasn't a cross-stitch, it was a tapestry. But hey. What did I know.Mum is half way through the cross-stitch at the moment, and having never done one, she said it was a bit hard to pick up, but once you understood what each symbol means, it was really easy. The diagrams are clear and well labelled, the threads (is that what they are referred to? I hope so, but you know what I mean if not) are really nicely organised and easy to put your hands on.At the moment there is no owl in the cross-stitch, she hasn't go to that bit yet, so I can't comment on how that looks -- but the wooded section on the left looks awesome.I will update this review with pictures when she has finished!

No colour on material
It is different from the usual cross stitch kits I have done as there is no colour on the material itself and I have to sort it out from the sheet that comes with it, but it is not hard to follow. The only bug bear I have is the threads were stuck to the card and you lose some from each strand when you have to cut the sticky bits off, much nicer when threaded through holes.

Not enough thread supplied
(for the Owl version) Beautiful, comes with needle, thread and plain canvas. Instructions are large and clear. However, this kit did not come with enough thread and I ran out of several colours! In response, they gave me a list of alternative colours in a different brand (to purchase myself), and none of the colours match!! I ended up buying the entire kit again just so I could get the right colours to finish it.Thankfully, it turned out beautiful and was still fun to do.

Enjoying
Previously done counted cross stitch and stamped kits but finding this different. Only began a week ago but really enjoying. It wasn't expensive but already I can see potential. You have to mix threads but that's okay. Am not finding the stamped crosses particularly difficult to cover as I had read in other reviews. Think it will be a beautiful piece of work when completed
