Don't Trample the Dogs

I had originally bought a hard cover copy of the same book over 30 years ago. I lent it to someone and they never gave it back. So I was very happy to find it reissued and with full color photos. The original had been illustrated with black & white cartoons. They say fox hunting in Ireland is not for the fainthearted. Mr. SInclair-Smith's book gives you the chance to live vicariously the thrills and spills of an Irish hunting week!

Used book in excellent condition. This is a hilarious read for those familiar with Irish fox hunting !

After purchasing this author's other books, I did not expect what came: a thin, magazine-sized book. His other fox-hunting books were 400+ pages. This one is less than 90. I obviously didn't read the book's specs, I just bought the author. Just know what you are getting.

Absolutely hilarious and riveting read! I devoured this wonderful book in an evening and was furious as I read the last page as I needed more of Michael Sinclair-Smith and his antics in Ireland!!Truly a fox hunters inside look into hunting in Ireland. I highly recommend and look forward to reading this wonderful authors other books.

Just wanted to say the book arrived this morning. I’ve had to hide it from myself as I giggled so much at the introduction I knew if I started it I wouldn’t be able to put it down. And after a very happy couple of hours (getting some puzzled looks from my husband at the strange snorting noises I’ve been making through out) I’ve loved every word of it and I’m heading straight back to see what else you’ve got. Thank you.

Really enjoyed the vivid tales from this book. Read it very quickly but could picture the different scenes and scenarios. Highly recommended to any horse riding /hunting enthusiast

I did enjoy the stories and pictures were very poignant especially as my own horse came from Galway. However, I did not like the way the horses were treated or some of the situations that they were put in - they gave their all and deserve to be treated better.

If you fancy hunting in Ireland this might put you off! Great read and hilariously written. It shows the warmth and humour of the Irish.
