Great rowing machine, good value. Recommend
The SLBWMC18 rowing machine is a great rowing machine and a great value. It features uniquely both a wind and magnetic resistance control mechanism which provides smooth resistance and about all the resistance anybody would want. The rowing action is very smooth and quiet. Assembly is relatively simple. As an elderly man recovering from a catastrophic crash this machine is essential in my recovery. I have used the pro machines at therapy clinics and this machine is ajluequivalent. This machine does what the manufacturer claims. And the machine is well constructed. I did have a minor issue and customer support was rapid and polite in a solution. Very pleased with their help. Gary

One of the easiest things to assemble
Just a wonderful engineered machine. Way easier than Lego for assembly. The bolts and screws came screwed on the respective places so you know they belong there during assembly and you don’t get put off by a million screws and bolts in a bag. The quality is above average but don’t expect to be the quality of the big chain gyms machines. Overall it’s been a great addition to the home gym and I’ve used it for over a weeks now with no problems.

Excelente!

Just right for a solid home workout
TL/DR: Solid machine. Nice for home rowing. Intermediate build. We have been shopping for a rower for a while, and were torn between an "elite" brand or a water tension. After trying out a friend's belt driven magnetic tension machine, and learning about water machine maintenance, we decided to ditch the fancy stuff and find something that would fit the immediate need. With gyms closing or requiring masks right now, going out of the house just doesn't work for our lifestyle. We needed a solid machine with a moderate weight-limit and adjustable tension. After a lot of reading and searching we decided on the SereneLife Home Rowing Machine. We ordered this machine at 4pm on Tuesday, and it arrived by 6pm Thursday!!! One week earlier than expected!Out of the box, most of the parts were in order and a lot of the nuts/bolts/washers are hand tightened into the body of the rower to be removed and replaced as you work. There is also a hex key and a cute little screwdriver/wrench tool. You shouldn't need any outside tools (but keep reading). There was a single bolt that came loose and 1 spring washer was missing. It was in the section where the rails attach to the wheel house, but there are 5 other bolts, so I feel safe that not having 1 spring washer in that area will not cause and issue. One other tough part was getting 2 small screws out of the rails to slide the seat on. They were very tight, and I felt scared to strip them, so I got out the drill and got them out with a little extra torque. I would have really liked an extra set of hardware for there very reason that I experienced: one of my bolts coming loose from the machine causing a lost washer. The manual does a good job of illustrating the pieces and how to assemble. If you do well with visual instructions, you shouldn't have much trouble. If you like reading and looking at diagrams, so of the illustrations for the step you are on are on the back side of the page. Again, not a huge deal, just a hurdle. I put this together with minimal help (Just needed an extra set of hands to get the rail onto the wheel house) in about 90 minutes. I wasn't in a hurry, so I think if I needed it to be done faster, I could probably cut off about 20 minutes. This is NOT a folding model. I've included a picture of it put together and in a standing position. You can stand it up, and place it against a wall, but it is a solid rail/wheel connection. Not an issue since it's going to live in our basement. After completion we all took a turn, with ages and fitness levels varying from 42-11/Sedentary-Very Active, and had no problems. My husband, the primary user, felt like the highest resistance was just fine for his need, and he is an active CrossFitter.Another nice feature, that I hadn't even looked for, is stationary foot holds. They do not move or rotate with your reps, giving you a solid plane to push off of.The computer feature is also nice, and will come in handy. Batteries included!! You do need an external heart monitor for the pulse meter to work, but that wasn't a selling point for me, so it's not a big deal. This does make a fan/swoosh sound when you pull. It's an air machine, and should be expected. I added a video of the fan to demonstrate. The harder/faster you pull the louder it will be.Over all, in the 4 hours we've had this item I am happy with our choice.

Absolute Bargain
!. Packaging - Well protected by molded styrofoam & heavy duty cardboard. Enough tape holding the foam to the parts to make Scotch jealous.2. Assembly - Pretty straight forward, with all tools & bolts in blister pack & labeled.3. Function - First impressions are device is sturdy, well made, seat & rowing mechanism are smooth. This rower uses fan resistance & magnet resistance. There is an adjustable vent to blow air on you to cool you down a little.4. Easy to fold & roll out of the way,I was torn between 4 or 5 stars - but the price made the decision for me.
