This are great , easy to read tules... sure there is another maker whose font I prefer.... but they cost twice as much... and function pretty much the same as Shinwa... I mean... and inch is still an inch. as long as it is accurate and easy to read

Great value, sharp edges

This ruler is exceptional in all regards. The markings are accurate and easy to read, no issue with glare from the lights, and the ends checked perfectly square against my machinist square. As a woodworker I appreciate each of those qualities. The ruler came in a soft protective sleeve that can be used for storage. I recommend this ruler for anyone concerned with precision. I would say it's on par with the more expensive brands like Starett at a more affordable price.This is my second tool from Shinwa, both of which were made in Japan. I bought the Sliding T-Bevel Gauge last month and couldn't be happier with the quality of that tool. I might have to try one of their engineer squares next.
