I've used the older style dewalt collated drywall gun for a good few years, and it's been fine. It had a couple of minor weaknesses, but it worked ok. This has solved those little issues. It get into corners much better. No collated attachment is perfect in corners, but this comes pretty well. It slides on and off smoothly. The old one was a pain to remove, this is a dream. So no need to carry an impact/drill or another drywall gun. The depth adjustment doesn't seem change on its own, and is very easy to adjust when necessary. Both were isues on the old version, albeit very minor ones. It also doesn't have the tendency to spit screws out on odd angles and damage the tip like the older one did. It's one minor fault is the track that the screws pull through to them away from the tip is quite loose, and doesn't hold them in place, so the strip just comes out and flaps around. Not a big issue really, but something that could be looke at for the next generation. Overall, I'd highly recommend.
