Perfect for commuting
I personally like the Hiboy scooters. I have had good experiences with them. I got this new design, the Hiboy MAX3, the third iteration of the popular MAX electric scooter by Hiboy. It is packed with practical features like 10-inch solid tires, compact and foldable design, a top speed of almost 20 mph, an excellent brake system as well as front and rear lights that increase its safety. It has a wider standing platform than earlier iterations for comfort and new bars for greater control. In my opinion, this foldable scooter is great for commuters. This is a relatively fast and affordable scooter that can keep up the pace mile after mile. It’s loaded with convenient and practical features like a head and taillights, an LCD, and a wide standing deck.It features 10-inch pneumatic tires for a more comfortable ride over bumps and potholes. However, the MAX3 is intended for flat urban terrains so that I won’t be experiencing many bumps and potholes. Additionally, the single lever, the dual brake system are easy to operate, leaving us free to maneuver the vehicle when the unexpected happens. To me, compared to similar products, with the price of $459, it’s pretty affordable. It offers the same or better features than more expensive competing models like Ninebot MAX G30, Xiaomi M365, Glion Dolly, Gotrax G4, etc.I use cruise with this scooter because at the cruising speed of 12 mph, the battery lasts longer, Of course, if I like to speed up, I can reach its top speed of 18.6 mph, but in this case, the battery drains faster. This model is made for a 200-pound rider with a maximum travel range of ~17 miles. I just hate when I can’t ride it at least an hour and a half continuously on a single charge. This is my biggest complaint about MAX3, but you need to know that a lower price usually means a smaller battery. The MAX3 uses a 36 V, 7.5 Ah Li-ion battery. The good thing about the battery is that you can recharge it relatively fast (between 4 to 6 hours to fully recharge the battery). Its 350W brushless motor provides enough power to overcome hills up to 15 degrees easily and to reach its top speed of 18.6 mph. However, do not expect these speeds when going uphill or with a rider of 200 lbs. The steepest the hill and the heavier the rider, the MAX3 is going to feel, bringing the speed down to 7-8 mph. Also, the battery drains much faster in these conditions. While it’s easy to get carried away with the fast ride and the wind blowing through your hair, braking and slowing down is also essential. Thanks to the innovative brake system on the MAX3, I won't be worried about it because the system works so well. It features a dual brake system (manual disc brake combined with electronic brake) like so many others in the class.Overall, the MAX3 has a compact and portable design. It is good to know that because, eventually, you’ll have to carry and store the thing. Most manufacturers take this into account and work to reduce the dimensions and weight of their products. The Hiboy MAX3 weighs 40 lbs, and thanks to the simple latch mechanism, it folds/unfolds in just a few seconds. In a nutshell, the Hiboy MAX3 is a good value. It features an eye-catchy intuitive design with aesthetic lines, and in a commuter scooters’ department, it stands better than similar competing models. If you want to put miles on your electric scooter, this machine is well worth the investment. Its well-designed cockpit has wide bars for better steering, and an LED dashboard display is providing important information. The wide pneumatic tires add traction and smooth out the bumps in the road. The MAX3 is not the best electric scooter you will find, but it has a great price/performance ratio.

Brakes
From me product. Breaks are too tight and can’t be adjusted. Crests a dangerous ride I’d you hit the breakers too hard. Bought exactly ended warranty but don’t even know who to call

Handy short range commuter for the price.
This scooter pretty much met most of my expectations. For what it costs, it hits all the areas of what makes it a decent scooter pretty well. Acceleration, handling, smoothness, break response, battery life, durability, battery life, and charging time aren't all uniformly exceptional, but they're satisfactory.Assembly is very easy, and everything felt pretty well made and solid coming right out of the box. You almost don't need the manual, since every part of folding, unfolding, screwing the handlebars in place, ect is very self-explanatory.The battery life is very sensitive to the way you choose to ride. If you put it at the most powerful setting and ride at full throttle, you will not go much further than about 10 miles based on my test runs. If you coast, go easy with the acceleration and keep it in a power-conserving setting, then you might think the ride will feel a bit sluggish and boring, but you will have effortless and reliable transportation across the full range advertised. It's faster than walking and about the same speed as biking with a cheaper or comparably priced bike...without any physical exertion beyond just standing; I find this to be a winning quality when it's very hot outside. The tires work well and the whole frame is rugged and reliable, so far. I drove over side walks and cracked roads with gravel near Yale, and while it could do with a good suspension/shock absorbers, the big wide air-filled pneumatic tires do a respectable job at keeping the bumps from being jarring. Had absolutely no problem with modest off-road-levels of cruising. The acceleration is satisfying with a full charge on a flat surface or down a hill, and the disc breaks are mated well with the power for safety. It seems like when the battery is less than half full, or an incline occurs, or the motor gets too hot, the power drops off a lot, and the most powerful setting feels really more like a cross between the lowest and medium setting. If you slow down or give the scooter a break for half a minute, the power returns on a flat surface again for a while.I don't recommend stressing the motor out to its maximum potential for long periods of time. The battery will drain and the acceleration will just stop being fun. However, it will continue to buzz along at a steady 10mph (below the advertised max speed) at the very least if you wish, so I can't complain about it as a good short/medium range city commuter. The headlights and tail lights are more than bright enough to keep you safe in terms of alerting others that you're on a road, but the headlight doesn't provide much more vision at night than just what's directly within about 8 feet of you....which is sufficient to ride around safely all things considered. All in all, you don't pay anything in gas and you don't exert yourself physically to use this scooter. It's very fun for short bursts of smooth acceleration and very practical for commuting, even if the roads driven on aren't of the best quality (thanks to the great tires it has). I wish the power was a little better and more consistent, but I'd say it's worth the money for what it's intended to be.
