Yes, it is clear soft jel like a watery solution. When you pump even one squirt, in to cupped hand, it flows out like watery solution. It is not thick. It is clear watery gel solution. It smears easily on your hands, feet, face & neck. A little goes a long way! I have not tasted it.

Once the aloe container is opened it should be kept refrigerated. The 70 % -91% isopropyl alcohol and 30% aloe vera gel sanitizer does not have to be refrigerated.

Yes, the oral gel is possibly as much as 8 times more concentrated and so is more economical. It mixes just fine with water if one shakes it up well. A 64-ounce flask, at 1oz./day, will last 64 days!
