I don't typically review a lot of products I buy, but this one warrants it.Let's start with the comb. Made of what looks like a single piece of wood, this comb is sturdy. It fits well in my hand and combs hair and beard quite well. No more plastic combs! It's a bit harder to comb my mustache with it because of the shape, but that would be my only complaint. I can still comb my mustache with this comb, though. It's so comfortable to use, I'll find myself combing my beard absent-mindedly while watching a show or sitting on my porch. I've never had that with any other comb I've owned.The brush is smaller than I expected, but now that it's here, I like it's size better than a larger one. It just feels good in the hand, and it's size makes it easy to brush my mustache as well. It works wonders on my beard, spreading my all-natural oils around like a champ. The brush feels amazing on my skin, but can get a little rough if I brush too much. I usually only use the brush right after my morning shower and right before bed because of that. The boar bristles are attached to the wooden handle quite well, although do expect to lose some for the first couple of weeks. Every boar bristle brush I've had has done that, and I've owned quite a few. Overall, it's probably the best beard brush I've ever owned, and that's saying something.As nice as each item is individually, it's the effect of both of them that have been really impressive. My beard hair is quite curly, and I have to work hard to try to get it straight and detangled. Using this brush and comb for only a couple of days, my beard is straighter and fuller looking than I've seen it in a long time. My wife thought it grew an inch overnight. It has really worked wonders on a very hard to handle beard. My mustache is equally difficult, with a lot of mustache waxes not able to tame the stragglers. This brush has helped with that immensely, though I'm sad to say they still continue their disobedient ways. However, I have tried a lot of combs and brushes on this mustache, and none have come as close as this set has to putting the stragglers in line.Overall, I would say buy this. It's small and compact, so it travels great. It works amazingly well. It's well constructed. I would've gladly paid double for this set. Why are you still here? Buy this set already!

The brush gets daily use. It's the best way to apply beard oils thoroughly and can do a bit of the styling as well. It's true a number of the bristles will fall out as you break it in but it's probably 5% of the total amount at worst and isn't noticeable once it stops. To avoid getting bristles anywhere I didn't want them, and speed up the break-in period, I occasionally scrubbed the brush against my hand which took care of most of it but it still might take a week or two before they're done falling out. I wish they would do that part for you right after they're made. They could probably recycle the bristles as well!The comb on the other hand is only worth the aesthetic and branding to me. My beard is a couple inches long and I imagine it serves a longer beard much better with the wide-tooth side. For me, the narrow side grabs too much and the wide side doesn't accomplish much. I wasn't expecting as much from it as most places claim for these wooden combs but I was hoping it might be appropriate for a travelling or pocket comb. It's not fragile but it is a light-weight soft wood and I'd be worried even sitting down with it in a pocket. It's about billfold sized but I'd appreciate and actually feel more comfortable if it were a bit smaller.

I have had this brush since February 2017! The only reason I'm buying another is so I have another for traveling. I have used this brush several times a day for 8 years and can't recommend it more. Buy one of these for the bearded man in your life; you won't regret it and neither will he
