Great materials and quality - incredible value!
Very good quality materials are used starting from the steel rope which is encased in some sort of heavy duty slightly clear plastic to the smooth bearings. The finish of the rope is very slick and seems like it'll hold up a long time. If you grab the handle and spin it, the bearing will go 10 revolutions easily; speaking to the quality of the bearings. I've only had it a couple of weeks and it is holding up great.I'm 6'-2" and the longest setting is too long for me. This rope could probably work for someone as tall as 6'-6". I had to shorten it by about 2" on each side. Luckily the screw mechanism is very easy to adjust just with your fingers - no screw driver necessary. On top of that they give you extra screws! The final cherry on the top is the little plastic "screw clamps" that hold your rope perfectly wound so it's not a mess of cords in your gym bag. Very useful addition - I'm always for trying to keep things as neat and tidy as possible. See my pictures for illustrations. For $10, probably one of the best ropes you can get. And from what I read about the owners of the company and their warranty, seems like these folks will be more than happy to get a new rope over to you ASAP if your current one breaks for whatever reason.

Best Value Jump Rope on the Market. Perfect for Speed or Conditioning and will not wear out your arms.
I received an email from FMS International LLC before my jump rope arrived. It was a well crafted email and explained how to adjust the jump rope, what the extra pieces were for, and who to contact if I had any questions. When I received the jump rope, there was some work involved. You have to adjust the screws with a screwdriver, cut the end of the jump rope, and put the small black piece back in at the end. I was a bit skeptical about having to do all of this for a little ole jump rope. However, I can honestly say it was well worth it. The jump rope is now the perfect height for me (I'm a huge 5'8). Even better, the jump rope works perfectly. I can go way faster than my old jump rope and my arms do not wear out like they did with my old one. With my old jump rope, I rarely got tired in my legs, but in my wrists/arms. With this one, it's so lightweight that I can go longer and faster and my arms don't wear out. Plus, this jump rope has yet to tangle up on me when i'm not using it. I just lay it on the ground and it stays exactly like it should. Granted, I haven't used too many different jump ropes in my time but for the price, it's easily the best one I've ever used.

Durable, long lasting, and inexpensive. A good deal indeed.
I jump rope almost daily, both as a pre-training warm up and for cardio purposes. To me it's a lot more fun than jogging, is effective, and doesn't take much space to engage in. I've bought SEVERAL ropes from Amazon in my quest to find a cheap-but-quality jump rope. Every single rope previous to this one has failed, usually by either the cheap bearings coming apart from the handles. However, after 5 months of constant use the Survival and Cross rope is still whipping around faithfully.Pros: Cheap, durable indoor rope that packs away small and can be thrown into a gym bag for use at any time. No noticeable slip from the thumbscrews (just torque 'em down good with a screwdriver). The handles seem to be quite sturdy. A few high speed interactions with the ground didn't bother them very much. No cracks, no chips, and the bearings still feel firmly seated in the handles.Cons: Because the thumbscrews grap the side of the cable rather than the tip end of the cable, there's a little bit of interference between the handles and the cable itself while jumping rope. When doing a criss-cross the cable will snag against the side of the handles which alters the rhythm and can cause mess-ups. Not a big deal if you're not trying to do rope tricks like you're Floyd Mayweather. The cable it came with was a little light for my taste. I switched it out for a 3 oz Crossrope cable that I had handy. (This is totally personal preference though. I feel like I can whip a heavier cable around a little faster, and the increased weight provides a little more sensory feedback but the default cable works just fine.)

Best jump rope I've ever purchased
I went through three jump ropes before finally deciding to give up on stores around where I live and to give the internet a chance. This rope had great reviews, so I figured it would be worth a try...It had arrived, in an awesome bag no less, with adjustable screws to modify the length of the rope. The rope itself is sturdy but also TANGLE-RESISTANT!!! This is a very big deal and a huge perk! In comparison, the three failed jump ropes mentioned before all had the major flaw of tangling at every other revolution. The handles are great, not bulky but instead, slim and minimalistic, stressing my performance when I speed jump rope. Most other handles that I've dealt with either have been a little too big, with round, knobby edges or felt flimsy. This was the perfect medium!I thought the whole screw-adjusting system would be complicated since I've never dealt with that in a jump rope before, but it actually has enlightened me to how jump roping doesn't have to be nearly as much of a struggle depending on your height. I'm short, at 5'2", so this was a perk. With all of the benefits of this rope, the jump roping experience has really been streamlined for me, at least. Now the only thing standing between me and my workout is pure stamina!
