Silicone Pastry Mat for Baking Sticks to Counter Not to Dough 23"x15" Large (Black and Yellow)

Pros: This is wider than 1 sheet of parchment or wax paper- I was taping 2 sheets together to make sure my bottom layer was wide enough for a whole pie crust. This is so much better than doing that. It will not slide around on your table like wax paper or parchment will. Roll it out on your table and it stays where you put it. It's really rubbery, so you need to pick it up and purposefully reposition it for it to move. So, the motion of rolling out dough will not make it shift on you. It also has the pie crust sizes on you and a few other useful markings that I haven't used yet (see product descriptions). It cleans up very easily - soap and hot water, lay it out on your rack to dry.Cons: Use plenty of flour on it to prevent dough from sticking to it! My first use for it was sugar cookies. I used a "light dusting of flour" as the instructions said, and ended up with a gluey mess of dough all over the place. I also still need to use parchment on top of the dough, as my rolling pin is marble and dough loves to stick to it. So, this mat does not solve the problem of having to pin down the top parchment layer between my body and the edge of the table while rolling out the dough beneath, nor does it cure the overall flour mess while rolling out pie dough. Not sure how others managed to do that. Also, it's not super sturdy, so be careful when using cookie cutters - press too hard and you may cut into the mat itself.Hope this helps. Happy baking!

I wanted a mat that I could use on my countertop to knead bread and roll out pizza and cookie doughs. This mat works perfectly for kneading bread and rolling pizza dough. I haven't rolled any cookies yet so I can't comment on that. It really sticks to the counter well and makes clean up much easier. I am sorry that I accidentally ordered the mat with the yellow writing. I intended to order the mat with the red writing. As other reviewers stated, the yellow writing is impossible to read and therefor the 4 stars rather than 5.

Hi I use this mat to make my homemade Einkorn flour bread. Easy to use and cleans up well. I appreciate that it is large enough to knead my bread with extra flour & keeps my counter clean! Also, the dough doesn't stick to this mat as it does on my counter. I love this mat!

Everything sticks to dough, but pulled by hand dough comes off of the mat without leaving anything behind, which means it works perfectly with a pastry knife; the size markings are also a nice touch for making rounds. (If you don't have a pastry knife, and you're looking at this product, get both)

This was as advertised, it does not stick to the counter top and my dough did not stick to it. VERY NICE! I am "the pie lady" in our family and all get-togethers has me making at LEAST 8 pies each time. Thank you for a great product.

After shooting a coffee cup with a cutting board across my kitchen island, then fighting with my quartz counter to let go of my dough, I found the perfect solution. I received this Silicone Pastry Mat in the mail yesterday and have been kneading my heart out today. A very simple, inexpensive and practical tool. I am so happy with this purchase

This is a great mat for people who love baking or cooking. It's bigger than other mats I've had so my larger crusts for shepherds pie or Dutch apple don't hang over the edges. It's also great for rolling biscuits out, as long as you're careful not to push too hard with your cutters. It's very smooth so it takes less flour which translates to a lighter crust.

I have put off for a long time purchasing one of the Jennis Silicone Pastry Mats......but finally bit the bullet and got one. Should have gotten one sooner!! I do a lot of sourdough breads, rolls, and tortillas. This mat works perfectly. No movement on the counter, no slipping. It is the perfect addition to my baking supplies and equipment.
